Akro - Read Greek and Latin with audio, notes, and word taps

by
Most Ancient Greek and Latin tools are fragmented, outdated, or painful to use on mobile. Akro brings reading, professional audio, instant word lookup, vocabulary, notes, and commentary into one clean experience, so learners can stop fighting the format and start reading real texts. Built for students, teachers, and serious independent learners.

Hi Product Hunt! I’m Roman, founder of Akro. We built Akro because learning Ancient Greek and Latin still feels much harder than it should. Most tools are fragmented: one place for grammar, another for vocabulary, another for texts, another for audio, and most of them are not pleasant to use on mobile. We wanted to make something that helps people actually read and even speak! So Akro brings together professional audio, tap-any-word lookup for forms and meanings, notes, vocabulary, and guided reading in one app. The goal was simple: reduce friction between the learner and the text. We’re starting with Ancient Greek and Latin, but the broader idea is to build serious digital infrastructure for classical learning: texts, courses, commentary, books, and a better experience for students, teachers, and independent readers. We’d love your feedback, especially on three things: 1. What part of the experience feels most valuable right away? 2. What would make you try a product like this consistently? 3. If you’ve studied classical languages before, what frustrated you most in existing tools? Thanks so much for checking out Akro!
