The inspiration behind AI CardVault came from a frustration we kept seeing at trade shows — sales reps walking away with hundreds of business cards stuffed in their pockets, only to spend days manually typing contact details into spreadsheets. Leads got lost, follow-ups were delayed, and event ROI was nearly impossible to measure. We set out to solve one core problem: how do you capture 100% of leads at a busy event, instantly, without any manual effort? Our initial approach was a simple card scanner, but as we spoke to more exhibitors and sales teams, we realized the real gap was much bigger. They needed offline capability for patchy expo Wi-Fi, CRM sync to eliminate data re-entry, lead prioritization right at the booth, and management-level visibility across the entire team — not just a photo of a card. So we rebuilt the product from the ground up around the trade show workflow. We added AI-powered OCR for multi-language cards, real-time CRM integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zoho, Hot/Warm/Cold lead tagging, voice notes, and a centralized admin dashboard. The biggest shift in our thinking was moving from "scanner app" to "event lead intelligence platform." That change shaped everything — the UX, the feature set, and how we measure success for our users.
