What is the best way for an AI coding agent to get your attention?

I handle operations for Agent Island, so I spend a lot of time watching how people come back to long Claude Code and Codex runs.

What actually works for you: sound, system notification, a foreground alert, or just a status indicator you can glance at?

I m especially curious about the point where helpful becomes annoying.

I built it because I do not want Claude Code / Codex long runs to own my attention. Start the run, leave the desk, and come back when it is actually your turn.

What changed:

- finished-turn alarms: when a background thread finishes its round, you get a popup, system notification, and sound
