After seeing someone go viral selling his MacBook lid as ad real estate and in turn getting it for free I found a fatal flaw for marketers. He was selling sticker space - stickers die with time. Imagine having your logo permanently etched to the macbook and when it resells - your logo sells with it. Advertisment space for next 10 years (especially if it becomes top spec laptop). You basically pay once for a super good ad space over the next years.
