ScopedIn - Track tasks. See where your time actually goes.

by
ScopedIn is a task manager built around one question most apps ignore: how long did that actually take? Every task has a built-in timer. As you work, ScopedIn tracks estimated vs. actual time. After a few weeks, AI insights surface the patterns: which types of work you consistently underestimate, where your hours are really going, and what’s quietly eating your day.

Hey Product Hunt! I’m Cooper, the solo developer behind ScopedIn. I built it because I kept missing deadlines — not from a lack of motivation, but because my time estimates were consistently wrong. I’d plan for an hour, spend three, and never actually figure out why. Every task manager I used tracked what I needed to do. None of them helped me understand where the time went. So I added a timer to every task. Not a focus timer — just a simple way to record how long something actually took versus how long I thought it would. After a few weeks of data, the patterns became obvious. Certain types of work I always underestimated. Others I’d been avoiding because I’d inflated how long they’d take. The AI insights surface all of that automatically. The product grew from there: focus mode for doing the actual work, goals for staying accountable, recurring tasks for the things that never go away. Launching solo means you can always find a reason to wait. At some point you just have to ship it. Happy to answer questions — and curious what you always end up underestimating.
