Why 2nd launch on Product Hunt is worth it

Hi Product Hunt fam! Today we've launched our human translation platform Nitro for the 2nd time 🥳 https://www.producthunt.com/post... I had doubts whether second launch is a big deal, because I've noticed many product teams I follow had a very "laid-back" 2nd and 3rd launch (I mean not putting a great amount of effort comparing to the 1st launch), and naturally those launches were not as impressive. And we had the same plan too — not to spend that much time on preparations (I spent almost 2 full months on the 1st one which was 8 months ago). And you know what surprised me today? I found out many people actually remember our first launch and they say "what, has it really been 8 months already? I remember your first launch, it's great you're doing it again!" Yes, just like during the first launch, the thing that impressed me the most is people and connection with these people. They actually remember you and your product and sincerely wish you a great launch. This is a really rewarding feeling 🥰 I don't know how well we'll do this time — the first time, we launched on Monday, made it to #4 Product of the day and received over 500 upvotes. Right now we are #4, but I doubt getting 500 upvotes. Still, I'm receiving feedback from people who remember our product from the first time and are happy to give their feedback. This is valuable, and I hope we'll get more interesting conversations today about our new feature — support for Google Docs translation with all the formatting kept. Before, Nitro only supported plain text translations with no formatting. So, we'll see how this launch will go, but I'm pretty sure it is worth it because of the response we receive 🥰

I definitely recommend going for a product hunt relaunch when you can. We got great results with QApop. We made it to the 4th product of the day instead of 6th product for the first launch.

@fabian_maume thanks for sharing your experience, Fabian! Did a lot change in terms of website visits/installs/registrations?

@margarita_s88 The second launch gave us more visits and signups. Registrations are hard to compare as we run different promotions. The goal of the first launch was to raise funds by selling LTDs: https://www.lunadio.com/blog/we-...

@fabian_maume thank you! We've launched the same product, so it will be interesting to see how these two launches compare.

Best of luck!!
