When the AI hype will end?

Every day I open Product Hunt I see new AI tools. AI forms most of the feed. This is good because Product Hunt is the cradle of innovation, and AI is the new tech. But at some point, this just has to stop. When do you think this trend will go down?

The situation is similar on appsumo. For now, the trend will grow until the market is saturated with it, and the competition will reach its peak. I would put a forecast for 1 year.

@ped4enko no one will hold first place forever even appsumo so I'm preparing a new market and it will be launched soon https://design.deals

There is so much left to build when it comes to AI. Few have even begun building autonomous AI features. We launched the first autonomous AI coach today, and I'm sure many more similar autonomous agents will become popular in the next year.

@bryanmcanulty Heights Platform? Congrats on launching, already upvoted and commented ✌️

when electricity appeared was it hype? No, this is a new era. this is not the same as, for example, the NFT hype, (although growth will resume there as soon as everyone understands the real possibilities of the blockchain)

@bootstraptor agreed. AI isn’t a new “product” that goes in/out of style. It’s a breakthrough in tech that can ENABLE new products/services never seen before. Platforms like huggingface and openAI bringing it to market at a low cost option only pushes this further.
I think it could be at the end of the year) But we never know what will happen in 2024)
Lindsay Davis
@serhii_uspenskyi interesting opinion🧐 Why do you think it will be at the end of the year?
@imlindsay many companies will end the financial year = stop investing for some period but it can be huge raise again in 2024 as I said)

I think that trying to predict the end of the AI hype is like guessing the next plot twist in a sci-fi blockbuster – it keeps us all on the edge of our seats! But you know what's even more exciting? Embracing the AI revolution and watching it evolve beyond the hype. It's like witnessing the birth of electricity and wondering if it'll fizzle out – instead, it powered the world! So, let's strap in, because the AI journey is just getting started, and who knows what dazzling innovations are around the corner?

This is only a beginning. Now we have a lot of chatgpt copycats. But future will bring new mind blowing solutions that not are using chatgpt api ;-)

@janusz_mirowski I agree. And we have more APIs to come. For example, Anthropic AI with its 100k token limit.

1 year max, before another topic comes up

When they decide to cancel AI, but this will already be unlikely. It will be a long time since the world has surprised AI and even companies are integrating AI even into work.
The AI hype might evolve, but its journey is far from over. Countless frontiers await exploration and innovation in the realm of AI.

It's fascinating to witness the proliferation of AI tools on Product Hunt, reflecting the ongoing technological advancements. Predicting when this trend will recede is challenging, but as AI matures, we might see a balance between various tech categories.

Why would you want it to stop?

Its all about demand of customized ai tools it needs modification to make some new ai tools of new generation recently we delivered a ai tool for smart operation of apk integration.

The AI hype likely won't "end" as much as it will evolve.

Guess it is hardly to go down within 3-5 years

Every tech had its active growth stage which was inevitably followed by a plateau. For example, Blockchain reached its plateau last year. I reckon AI will reach its plateau in 1 year (max 2 years depending on the marketing budgets and regulation).

I was just discussing this with my colleague's. The market is overloaded already and we barely scratched AI"S surface. The next five years should be interesting. Thanks for the great share.
