i'm writing a book (called Indie Makers' Bible). it is about bootstrapping profitable products. i want it to be co-authored by anyone. if one of my ideas is wrong, i want another opinion to be presented. the Wikipedia style 🙂 a tool like github can work well for that. but github is for geeks. i want non-tech-savvy people to be able to contribute to it too. what tool do i use?

How about Notion? They even have wiki style now.
@guar47 i can either make a page public for everyone or invite particular collaborators by email. both are not the thing i want 🤓 i want them to offer changes for me to accept/decline. like google doc suggestions or github pull requests.

what tools have you tried and ruled out? how about using a commenting system on posts and then you can choose to add edits that you want in?
@madeleine_nichols hey, thanks for the comment. just to make it clear: your idea is to start a blog with a commenting system?

You want to gain experience in an interesting direction. You already got the right advice above. But that's not all; in-depth searches are required. I think it's important to find people who can understand your intentions and the underlying meaning you want to convey through your story. Because everyone has their own views, and this can affect the result. I am also currently working on my book and have found a resource https://penfellow.com/ that gives me a qualified opinion on the content of the text. The help of professionals is very useful when you are a beginner in any field, including writing books. This kind of help saved me time and you can also gain new skills and knowledge.
