When do you prefer working from office over remote working?

I have been working remotely for a long time and I'm very productive while working from home. I do not have much experience with working from the office and the things I miss by not working from the office.

Used to work remote for 2 years, missed the social aspect of work. Have been working from office for the past couple of months and don't think I'd go back to remote working

I would suggest working from office because I like to meet people.

Honestly, remote working is amazing :) Would prefer work from office for brainstorming or all-hands-on-deck situation.

No of where they fall on the segmenter/integrator spectrum, the office enables everyone to take advantage of these advantages since it serves as a physical boundary for the workday. If you work from home and are having trouble juggling your personal and professional lives, think about other ways to set boundaries, such as working in a different room or spending the day at the library or coffee shop.

Only remotely!) The situation is similar to yours, worked only remotely, no experience in the office.

I enjoy hybrid - a few days of work from the office each week. Working from the office allows you to meet people, and communication between people evolves easily. You learn from expressions, body language, and behavior. It also makes you feel part of the community. Your commute has a meaning and a destination, you meet people during a commute, you see things, and notice things, and they all contribute to evolving our behavior. Working from home has its benefits too - spending time with family by saving commute time. Focus on your health by eating at home. You also have the flexibility to take breaks, and go for a walk easily. I would definitely choose a hybrid over home vs remote.

For problem solving, to interact with the team usually brings better ideas.
