How often do you reach out to users during product development, to ensure that you are not making too many assumptions and also inject creativity and diversity into your decisions?

my software and services (and thus my recommendations) follow around getting input at 3 key development stages: 1) Defining the depth and potential value of the problem you hope to solve 2) Coming up with viable and creative solutions to those problems 3) Then refining that solution: determining which features will have the biggest impact, pricing, competitive analysis, product naming, etc. Then, of course you need to make sure you translate those findings into marketing communications (building something that is wanted and making new prospects understand that they want it are two different things).
