I feel for scale, especially in developing nations, economics would really need to work, alongside the mechanics of car loans and down-payment and subsidies...lot of math on money would make sense for an average car buyer to consider

@richw Yes there has. EVs are more sustainable when you take into account the entire supply chain. You are not going to get a massive oil leak in the ocean from electricity. Electricity can be created in many ways locally, oil is only available in certain places and needs to be shipped around the world and refined. Gas is polluting even before it comes out of an exhaust - gas stations pollute the land they are on. Plus, all the infrastructure for gas needs gas to move it around and electricity.

I think there will be higher adoption once they have higher capacity batteries with longer lifespan.

It depends on future of safe and sustainable batteries that don't catch fire or explode. Another safe, sustainable, practical and cost effective fuel option might also come into play.

If that happens EVs will be trash, just like petroleum fuel cars are becoming right now.

On B2C front, in non oil producing countries or where tariffs on gasoline is high there will be good adoption of electric vehicles. On B2B front still the businesses are not convinced either it will be hydrogen or electric that will rule, this is because of load on grid when more and more vehicles become electric and what will be the wait time for vehicles to get charged.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they go big outside of the US in the next couple of years.

Inside the US might make more time because it’ll take years to put together a large enough charging infrastructure.

Personally I like the idea for something around town, but because I travel by car so much I don’t fit the current target market.
