I agree with the advice of all the others that are in the thread, I love the support in the PH community :) I would recommend examples of similar launches to your own that have gone successfully. Take a look at how many upvotes comments get, how many comments vs. upvotes there are, how many pictures & videos they include, how long their description is, if they include emojis, etc. Looking examples of similar products to our own, GoStartup, was really useful in our preparation for our launch. In our next launch in the upcoming weeks we're implementing similar techniques as we did the first time. The difference between the first launch and our next launch is that we have better established PH presence and we know what to do with our social media. Here are some tips we've learned, specifically concerning the PH algorithm :) DON'T 1. Have "non-genuine” upvotes. These include: - Upvoters freshly registered on PH - Upvoters with less than 5 followers - Upvoters with no product upvoted recently or at all (those PH ghosts) 2. Use Automated upvoting 🤖 3. Have spikes of upvotes at a specific time (could mean massive emailing campaign) 4. Upvote without going to the product website (track if voter clicks on “Get it” before clicking on upvote) DO 1. Get Top Hunters upvotes and hunts (would recommend contacting them 2 weeks before) 2. PH staff who helps you elevate your story (ping them too!) 3. Have comments and active discussions (add all people who worked on the project as makers and ask them to answer!!) 4. Have early votes during the day (early for PH means 00:01am PST, they think you can’t rise people from their bed with marketing so it’s natural upvotes 🥱 ) 5. Have votes spreading over the whole day 6. Have people checking your website (tracking on "get it") 7.  Have product descriptions that fit with a specific type of users and not generic ones made for everyone and no one 8. Make it personal on social networks - “I just launched my first product!” 9. Use personal accounts, never company ones And a last few tips: when sharing your PH on social media, don't add #hastags, or @mentions because they'll appear in blue like your URL and people might end up clicking on them instead of the link 😅 . Also don't ask for upvotes, comments only!
