Probably asked already: how do you earn points on your Product Hunt profile?

Question

Hey there,

I am a Maker, and plan to launch my product on Product Hunt in a month or so. Obviously, I've read the "Launch guide" and noted that being involved and engaged in the PH community is a real plus for a good launch. Although I'm upvoting and commenting on the products I like and following their Makers, I haven't earned points so far (just one badge). Can anyone help me understand how this works?

Generally, points come from engaging with the community.

I'm not sure if there is a specific number of points you get for each action, but I've noticed that I get most points when others upvote my comments, when I create a post and people engage, as well as after a launch.

Engage in as many topics as you can, and leave comments on the products you enjoyed! Points are growing fast when your topics and replies are upvoted, so make sure you're adding some value to the conversation. Good luck!
