I have heard few influencers mention that their reach dropped recently and the reason could be not having Twitter blue. What are your thoughts ?

I'm not sure, because the top 500 companies, many of them ad buyers will not pay for it. But smaller brands will have to pay 1000 ye for it, is that really fair?

@artyom_trofimuk1 Have you ever seen justice in business? Only the achievement of goals, by whatever means 😀
@viktor_shpudeiko The main thing is that Elon doesn't overdo it and kill Twitter. Otherwise he won't have a place to talk about rockets 🙂
Someone dm me with a blue check, went straight to my spam. If this is worth sharing
@carmela_padasas Maybe it helps for someone who already have a decent following
@matcha_anil yes adding to their credibility
For now? No. I think most of what Elon is rolling out on Twitter isn't going to last very long anyways. He changes his mind on a dime.
@kiraieigh Just heard from few influencers, the algorithm favoring blue tick for engagement
Haven't tried it yet, seems to me though that still people think you are kind of verified which adds trust.
@matthias_strafinger Trust is a factor but if the algorithm is different based on it and favors those with blue tick, then it a different discussion
@matcha_anil But you are not only favored naturally because you are paying but also because of the blue tick itself. People will engage more, which shows the algorithm that you provide good content and will you push more.
While Twitter Blue offers additional features and revenue, it isn't strictly necessary for Twitter's growth, as the platform can continue expanding through user engagement and innovative content strategies.
@thefidelavedano Not for twitter growth but for personal branding, if one wants to gain followers on twitter and if the algorithm favors the blue tick then it can be an issue
I'm uncertain, if that is really the reason for their drop in engagement and reach.
Yet, I'll give Twitter Blue a fair chance for the next month and evaluate if it's really worth it.
What are your thoughts on that topic Anil?
@felix_digistash From what I saw the opinions are mixed. Some say it is worth it and some say it makes no difference. Interested to hear your thoughts
I'm about to get started on Twitter and it seems just like a hard game to play these days
@mehdi_rifai Yes, the game has been changing
I feel like I would believe it to try and get more people to buy into their subscription.
@joshuafreeland Yeah looks like it
Musk said the other day that "Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations." https://twitter.com/elonmusk/sta...
So, yeah.
Twitter blue was a sing of trust from Twitter. If company sells it, spammers will use it for evil reasons. Ä°t doesn't make sense like this.
@kemal_karatas Yes there needs to be a vetting process
there are other social networks that are equally important for my audience. sometimes twitter gets annoying
@viktor_shpudeiko What others you prefer
@matcha_anil telegram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc
Not sure
But I certainly hope not. Maybe I should purchase for a few months and check
@richard_gao2 Do share your experience if you get to use it
In my opinion, getting Twitter Blue only for the verified badge isn't a good idea for establishing account authenticity and hence growth (specifically if the account doesn't have many followers), as everyone can get it by simply paying.
@hosseinyazdi Yes, but seems like Elon Musk is trying to force everyone for it
No, I don't think so!
No, I don't think its that essential to build a brand
