Attention PH Community! πŸ‘‹πŸ» I'm Noyan and I'm currently working on Decktopus AI, which generates fully designed decks with images, bullet points, forms, ability to audio narrate, and more based on your input! It's time to level up your presentation game and get custom-made presentations based on your presentation's aim and your audience! And the best part? You can try it for yourself on February 23rd when we officially launch on Product Hunt! But before then, let's chat about all things presentations, time-efficiency, productivity, and beyond. I, Noyan, am here to answer any and all of your questions. So fire away! πŸš€

Looking forward to your launch!! How much efficient will my presentation making skill get vs a canva or powerpoint?
@singh_ankur Hello Ankur, canva and powerpoint are actually design tools. Consider Decktopus AI as a presentation assistant. It will create your presentation content exactly what you would want, and provide (in the near future) something to prepare you for a perfect presentation delivery. You'll almost skip the creation part and focus on only the rehearsal part. So I would say your efficiency will increase by at least 100X :)

@noyanidin looking forward to the launch but how does the efficient varying for beginner vs a well versed user?
@singh_ankur In the beginning there will be a learning curve (as in any other tools). So if you are a total stranger to Decktopus, you may need to get used to some principles (not rocket science of course, such as letting Decktopus adjust everything automatically). But for the AI part, even my grandma can generate a deck using Decktopus AI :D because the AI process walkthroughs you in each step.

What do you mainly do for marketing for Decktopus? Also, congrats on getting started early on the AI train! I see Decktopus was launched in 2020. Would be more than happy to support on launch day btw. Feel free to DM me on Linkedin or Twitter once you launch
@richard_gao2 thanks Richard. We do a lot of things for marketing. We get into the communities and get people's feedback about our product and create awareness in the community. Also use other paid and organic channels to spread the word. But I think the most important thing is to determine the messaging and positioning properly.
Frank Gonzalez
@richard_gao2 @noyanidin which communities are you posting in to get feedback? Here on ph?
@richard_gao2 @frank_from_bullnose_design Depends on your industry. Here is a good resource for communities: https://thehiveindex.com/
Anastasia Reich
@richard_gao2 Hi Richard! Just to add : we use SoMe organic strategy (for now), being featured in the startup catalogs, newsletters and journalists writing about Future Of Work. We are launching on Feb 28 and after the launch are planning to hire more people in the Grow and Mktg department to reach the exponential growth.
Did you validate your idea? Can you share the response you got from people about your product?
@hamza_afzal_butt This is a great question, everything should start with validating the idea. Direct responses are gold, but generic reports help too. According to a report, half of the presentations are insufficient due to the lack of presentation skills basically. We aim to solve this problem and this version of Decktopus AI (that we'll launch) is just a beginning.

How important videos are to explain and reach a wider audience about Decktopus?
@praveen_ai It depends on who is posting and what is being said in the video :) I think if someone else is talking about Decktopus, it brings 10X better results than we are talking about Decktopus.

@noyanidin What processes you follow in your marketing team?

Product hunt launch tips please? :D
@gurdeep_singh16 Hahah I think it is important to get into the community way before your launch date and start to interact people here

How many time you spend on your family?
@haserk Good question. I live alone (with my cat Mia :)) so I can work as much as I want as long as I'm productive during the week. I spend my weekends (sometimes bi-weekly) with my family and loved ones.
Valerie KrΓ€mer
Exciting! Great to meet you, Noyan πŸ‘‹πŸ» What sets you apart from other tools like e.g. Pitch? Are you more focused on sales teams specifically?
@valerie_kramer Nice to meet you Valerie! Pitch, Canva, PowerPoint and other presentation tools are just design tools. With Decktopus AI, we are positioning ourselves as a presentation assistant. Decktopus AI will create a deck in any topic including progress report, sales deck or any other decks. Also we develop further internal AI tools (such as transcript generation) to help you to prepare & deliver better presentations.

How do you manage your work and focus on it, and how many hours do you work daily? Also, how do you balance work and holidays?
@premgohil12 It's tough, especially if you're the CEO of a small startup. I think prioritization is the most important thing when it comes to focus. During the workday, I don't have much time to focus on many things (due to meetings etc). So when I use my focus time, I make sure I work on the most important thing and delegate as many of the remaining tasks as possible. Because I live alone, it's easier to set my sleep and wake times. These days I try to wake up at 5am to create extra focus time (the downside is that I have to go to bed at 9pm). I spend my weekends with my family and loved ones, relaxing and prepare my brain for hard work days.

Hi Noyan, great to meet you! Looking forward to your launch πŸš€ Is Decktopus mostly for sales / selling presentations, or it can also work for a more technical things, like presenting a feature idea to the tech team?
@maria_yermolenko Hello Maria thank you! You can use Decktopus AI for any type of deck. Decktopus AI understands what you need to create and it even creates graphics or tables automatically when it is needed to present your deck :)

This would have been such a cool idea/help back when I was raising money. Good luck! (and cool name)

Hi, nice to meet you, how you decided not to have freemium plan?
Content Team
Hi Noyan, Which tool do you use us Collaboration Toll
Nilan Saha
As a CEO do you only manage people or do you prefer to get your hands dirty and do some individual work as well such as design, marketing, engineering.
@nilans Hello Nilan, I prefer to delegate all design marketing and engineering tasks to the team. I mainly spend my time on building systems/processes, strategic analysis/decision about the future of the product&company, recruiting (finding the best talent for Decktopus), and stakeholder communication.
Joseph Natoli
@noyanidin jumping in here, as a fellow CEO. I have to get my hands dirty due to the small size of our company. When you have the luxury of a larger team to delegate, I think it is still nice for the CEO to hop in and get in there on the regular in order to better understand what the team is going through, how the processes are affecting them, and over all creating a better culture and company in the process. Hope that helps! 🫢
Igor Sadkin
Hey Noyan, congratulations on the upcoming launch of Decktopus AI! It's exciting to see innovative solutions that can enhance productivity and efficiency in the workplace. At our company, we're also working on launching ARHIST, an AI-based interior design app. We believe in providing a seamless and enjoyable user experience and can't wait to see what users think when it launches. Speaking of launching, what tips or insights do you have for a successful product launch on Product Hunt? We'd love to hear your thoughts. By the way, for anyone interested, you can sign up for the ARHIST early bird list on our upcoming page. And for our Mac users out there, you can already check out our Mac version on our website. Thanks!
@igor_sadkin Hey Igor, congrats on your launch. I think it is a good idea to build connections with people here way before your launch.
Nikhil Mehra
Hi Noyan, Congratulations and wishing you the best for the product launch. What tools do you use for performance marketing and for social media to see analyze the statistics?
@nikhil_mehra2 Hello Nikhil, we don't use any external tools to analyze stats other than the native dashboard of the platforms.
Jason Jia
Looking forward to your new Launch. btw, checked you website. I personally dislike the subscription model on a productivity software. just for your information. I am wondering if there is someone like me.
@sijie_jia Hello Jason thanks for your comment. What would you expect instead?
Jason Jia
@noyanidin for productivity tools, I would rather to pay once and for all like Notability. Since this software is solving single reptitive issue, I hope there is a once-and-for-all price.
@sijie_jia Thanks for your comment. Let's say you purchased once and you can access the platform forever. Will you be willing to pay extra to access the new features (the features that are released after your purchase)?
Jason Jia
@noyanidin congratulations first. for Productivity App, I think it is hard to convince me to pay for extra features, as core features should already been included in the product. if any real changes happened, it is usually a new project instead of any upgrade from Google. 😁
Indu Thangamuthu
Just out of curiosity... Why do CEOs do "ask me anything" session?
@indu_thangamuthu Hahaha, in this way, just like this question, people ask questions they are curious about :)
Joseph Natoli
@indu_thangamuthu CEOs (and founders in general) wear so many hats meaning they have lots of experiences to share, and an AMA is an easy way to share that wisdom! I have seen some CTOs also do AMAs, but the CEO is generally more outgoing, which might also skew us to do this more often. I think, in general these are a great way for someone earlier in their journey to ask questions or get help from someone a bit more experienced. Though I have lots of experience, I still enjoy hearing how other CEOs deal with problems or challenges and always try to learn something new from everyone. Hope that helps! 🫢
Indu Thangamuthu
@joseph_natoli True! A CEO indeed has to be a know-it-all and willing to learn more, guide more, and be thirsty more.
Indu Thangamuthu
@noyanidin πŸ˜„ Lol! Though, seriously, it has always been a curiosity. A CFO or CMO or...anyone in a chief position is an expert in their field. That's some real-time expertise advice based on experience and the path they have walked. But why only CEOs think of doing an AMA. Why not CEOs motivate their company CTOs or CMOs n CFOs too to do some AMA activities and share expertise advice and guide the young gen.

what makes you curious to create docktopus

Noyan, I'm looking forward to your launch. My question is what inspired you to create Decktopus, and how do you see it improving the way people create presentations, especially in today's fast-paced world where time-efficiency is crucial for businesses and individuals alike?
