The First 2 times we launched we ended up in 7th and 4th place on the day of launch. We were striving for more, but in the end, we were satisfied with the end result. So, ask me anything about that, or about... well, anything :)

Hey Davor, Your experiences with PH seem quite interesting & fascinating. I've fairly little to no-experience at all with PH. I was wondering if you could elaborate a bit: - What it means for an organization (or a product owner) to end up 7th or 4th? - What could've been "potentially" the impact, if you'd have ended 1st? Anticipating your response. Thanks.

@ahsannoor Well, the obvious one is that you end up in a PH newsletter sent to many potential clients and investors. It gives you a great deal of exposure, boosts your traffic and gets you new users and even potentially enterprise leads. 1st place would amplify all that by a great margin. :)

@darwin_binesh Hi Darwin :) how did you build hype for your launch? We used twitter and got in touch with some twitter influencers for that. Some of our team members have a decent following on LinkedIn so we did that as well. On top of that our founder went on some podcasts. where did your traffic come from (top 3-4 sources) Twitter, Linkedin, Reddit

@darwin_binesh Still figuring out Twitter for ourselves. Seems that hiring a deverel (or an individual with following) might be the easiest way. Insights I got from people having tens of thousand followers is, HARD WORK. So posting multiple times a day, leaving relevant comments, answering a lot of questions (and asking) in the DMs. That's the organic way. There needs to be some sort of strategy behind it of course - it depend on the part of the market you are trying to break into.

@jaidayang Beta users came from cold reach out, and our efforts on the marketing side - so G-Ads, FB-ads, Twitter-ads (we did a lot of testing). We also had our founder on some podcasts, webinars and meetups talking about industry relevant topics. Turned those into white papers and e-books.

@nadenade The jury is still out on that one xD We made some changes with influencers and made a bit more thought out visuals and messaging. It also might have something to do with luck. You can not control what will be launched on the day you picked. So, if a big brand in your space launches something cool, or there are some things that simply are not that niche as your product, those can influence your positioning. For example, we got to the 4th place with less upvotes then we got for our 7th place.
