I work remotely and go to the office maybe once every few months. Several hours on a trip to the office are too much time, plus I get distracted by other people in the office and don't get as much work done as I can do from home 😅 What about you? 👀

@marialozovaya With a journey of several hours, it's perfectly understandable to only go to the office so rarely. Our office is only 10 minutes away and we try to meet up every week

100% since the pandemic. When the government told us we were not "essential" and must work from home, we let the team go to their respective destinations. Everyone ended up in their own hometown/state, and now we operate remotely. I wouldn't say I liked it for almost two years. My job as the founder was to encourage our teams, and it was to do my job over the Zoom meetings. But then I saw the numbers! The performance went up manyfold, and everyone was happier as they didn't have to commute in the morning and fight traffic on the way home. They were near their parents and loved ones and became more self-reliant and performant. After careful consideration, I made the decision to not renew our office lease. We stored all office furniture in storage, a symbolic move that marked our transition to a fully remote work environment. Now, we will never need an office again. PS: Some folks think remote-only small companies save money on office and other costs. They don't run real businesses where you have to pay 5x accounting cost to keep nexus across multiple states. It would help if you dealt with healthcare packages that do not work across multiple states. You have to deal with expensive travel if you need onsite client interactions, as everyone is flying from everywhere, and US airlines are the most inefficient when it comes to pricing for small businesses.

@shownotes Really exciting story! And above all, it's super interesting how it developed for you. There's always a debate about whether people are really more productive when they work from home, so it's really interesting that this was the case for you. I think society is really changing towards more freedom. Cool move from you!

Work 2 days remote a week. And honestly what you're building is in high demand! I really rely on the in-person days to foster connection with my teammates (remote days cameras are usually off and you don't joke around/get lunch w ur team). Without those in person days it would be super tough.
