Every employee is different. While some respond very well to certain management techniques, the same tactics may backfire on some. So, how do you adapt your management style organically in line with how your employees respond?

I start off 1:1s by just asking people what they want!

- How do you like to receive feedback
- How do you like to learn? (pairing, documentation, etc)
- What do you want to work on? 
- How can I help you best?

Like you said, everyone is individual so it's important to just ask :)
