How did you come with the design elements for your startup’s brand?

It’s not always about the design, but your brand leaves an impression on your users. I’d like to hear how you came up with your elements, logo and how you use it in your product, like we did with Zapmail. 👇🏼

For Zapmail, one thing we knew was that we liked the letter Z. Our designers looked at content from other brands and tried to figure out the outline of how our logo should come out as. So for our case, we went with shapes that will make the letter Z. So far we’ve had 2 iterations of our design. We use the shapes inside our product as well so as to tell a story. For eg, the default profile photo for individuals are variations of a single triangle, for groups we have a combination of those variations, to say that many individuals, come together and work together for results in those channels. Throughout the app, and our website zapmail.app you’d see how these triangles are used with different colours.
So my brand is for designers and I chose the most trendy design style (Neubrutalism) with colors that I haven't seen before the design is 100% unique and looks like nothing, no live product. That's the only way to attract the attention of the designers who see a lot of similar designs every day.
@sepidy Hey that's a smart way to go about it. It's true since designers always are on the lookout for design inspiration.
