Manual check: Manually go through all the pages of your website and click on each link to ensure they are functioning correctly. This method is applicable for small websites, however, for a large website, this can be time-consuming.
@katushkas I think it will be very hard for big websites or for those website who have big numbers of backlinks

@mani_abod I agree, this is not the best option for big websites. There are plenty of free online tools available to check for broken links. I haven't personally used any of them, so I can't recommend anything specific.
