@kyle_shanahan @kyle_shanahan We are building a product to solve that problem. So I was curious to see how much people sympathized with the problem. āœ… Boildown : https://boildown.io

Jay this is a great question. I see this issue more in the prosumer / SMB segment rather than companies who sell into enterprise - that's because you have to be marketing / product led in the former & it makes it difficult to get adoption if you have to get the user to understand an all-in-one solution v/s feature based apps

@kmanjita Thank you for your insight. That really resonates with me. However, when it comes to segmenting into teams, don't you think it can be applied to enterprise companies as well?
Kausambi Manjita
@jay_boildown in my experience, there are several things that apply to enterprise such as data security groups, approval workflows etc. above & beyond team based collaborating and sharing features.

Yes and at a certain level tools like Zapier can help on addressing this problem as well.
Jay Lee
@goff_jira Yes, Zapier solves some of those problems by automating workflow. Are you using Zapier?
Suchai
@jay_boildown Yes, I've been using it mostly for syncing data between data sources and also for those important events happens in our system where support team need to act on it immediatly and they receives realtime notification on Slack channel. Zapier support so many usecases, what I am using probably just very small area of it as they support so many major tools on the market, the only problem for me is the pricing plan where 750tasks = 20$ :D

@goff_jira Yes, Zapier has changed work experience tremendously, and I've also seen a new fancy product called Bardeen that looks great!

Though I don't have personal feelings on the matter, I can tell you that the proliferation of SaaS apps can lead to scattered tasks and information overload for some teams.

I am not too sure what you mean by "tasks are scattered" Like your ability to find settings or a builder function? Like the content from a user experience is spread out and not centralized or intuitive?
Jay Lee
@dzaitzow Thanks for the comment Daniel :) For instance, imagine you are dealing with project 'A'. E-mails related to 'A' are in Gmail, internal communications about 'A' are in Slack, and documents are in Confluence. With work scattered across tools like this, it's easy to lose track of tasks, not to mention having to jump back and forth to find them each time.
Daniel Zaitzow
@jay_boildown Gotcha! I think there is always going to be small periods of time allocated for finding documents but if you have a system it shouldn't be too much of a burden.
