@heffendi Hey, no problem. My favorite one is combining popular IG hashtags with smaller niche hashtags. Niche or location-based hashtags help you stand out to the audience that is most relevant to you. Use a combination of both in every post.

It is crazy how I was just thinking about the issue of hashtags on Instagram and I stumbled upon this discussion.

Honestly, hashtags worked really well for me initially but recently, I have been observing that hashtags curb my post reach instead of promoting it (might be a blatant assumption from my side)

Is it because every common hashtag is so heavily saturated with posts that the posts using the hashtag get suppressed? What is your view on it?

It all depends on what kind of hashtags you are using. Just stuffing your posts with hashtags won't work. Find 8-12 such hashtags which don't have large impressions but are used regularly and fit them accordingly in your posts.
