I'm curious about building and extending my community, both here on Product Hunt and in other spaces like LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
Tapping in to the PH community here: What are the best ways to add value to the community here on Product Hunt, and in any other community you're a part of?

Plan Activities and Events Organise online or live events to connect people in your community, including webinars, workshops, meetups, or networking sessions. To improve engagement and build relationships, offer chances for education, networking, and cooperation.

Having built several communities - I can tell you this: You cannot build a 'community' on social media. SM is for building a following; which is NOT a community.
You need a platform or mechanism that lets you go beyond discussions to build user engagement.
