What we're seeing is that chatGPT and other AI tools have a lot to say about our company. Optimizing stuff for these guys is where it's at.

Go to your Google account activity (https://myactivity.google.com/my...) and compare the volume to your ChatGPt activity. THat's why SEO is still king

Who needs SEO when you've got a great sense of humor and some killer chatbot skills? But in all seriousness, SEO is still important, just gotta adapt to the times🚀 Not all people search a content through chat gpt

Because of the safety, privacy, and biased information concerns, ChatGPT is not allowed to scan the web on its own nor incorporate all the random information it is exposed to via user chats. As far as I know, the team feeds data to the bot on an immense scale and it does not make inferences -or more accurately let's say present data- outside that pool. Considering those, I would assume the next stage of OpenAI would include an AI system that both scrapes the web data and makes accurate inferences based on them with minimal bias. In that case I think SEO still might be important as the bot would probably prioritize high interaction pages. Besides, a vast majority of internet users are still going to Google stuff, and I think we're still a long way from smart conversational interfaces replacing search engines. ChatGPT is the best one out there that I know, such amazing bots are not easy to come by.

Your data is tainted. You are looking at users of Chat and not the users of the internet. If your users all us the new chats, then you need to reach a newer audience. Not everyone knows what this chat stuff is.

ChatGTP definitely hasn't replaced traditional search - particularly for tasks like shopping, finding real-world reviews, or anything that needs to be very up-to-date (news, product releases, etc), so SEO isn't going anywhere soon. SEO will also change as new AI algorithms are incorporated into the search algorithms,. For example, targeting different sites based on their importance in training ChatGTP.

Seeing the effect of SEO is timely, so I guess it needs more time to answer this question with references and actual data. However, I guess in the ChatGPT era SEO will just be much more difficult than before :(
