So... like what's the benefit of following people if I see all the popular posts even if they weren't posted by someone I'm following?
Also, what's a way to find the most popular / active accounts?

Hi Katie! Following folks like your friends or people you admire, means you receive notifications if they do something interesting on the site - like hunt a product (you can always change settings on your profile if you want to reduce these). Means you're less likely to miss out on something posted by someone you like. Hope this helps!
