I'm looking for an Android app that lets you block websites. I tried Freedom.to and Netguard - both are not for me. What are you using?

I use airplane mode. It works really well, blocking everything 😅

I'm using a Pi-hole with openvpn. the Pi hole allows me to manage sites that I want blocked, including malicious, pornographic, and ads all via dns while openvpn does two things; anonymizes my IP/location and encrypts my traffic so that the mobile IP or any wifi cannot do anything malicious. I also follow that up with running Lookout for host intrusion detection.

I've used the Chrome plugin from deprocrastination and it's been really great for scheduling focus and distraction free time: https://www.deprocrastination.co/ I think the author is working on getting it back in the plugin "app store" so it might not be available at the moment.

@david_sykora Thanks for sharing, David. 👍 I will check it out once it's back

I am using Limit extension . Limit is a Chrome browser extension that allows you to limit your time spent on distracting websites.

Freedom blocks distracting websites and apps, but it does so much more than that TellPopeyes.
