Most launches here are SaaS with a free trial and a monthly plan. We're preparing to launch ClientOS, a self-hosted client portal for agencies that you buy once and run on your own server, and it made me wonder how PH treats that model.
For makers who've launched self-hosted, open-core, or pay-once products:
Did the lack of an instant "sign up and try it" flow hurt your launch-day conversions? What did you offer instead (demo, video, sandbox)?
How did you explain setup without scaring off non-technical hunters?

I've been wanting to create a better calendar app. One that primarily addresses my real availability and prevent being double-booked. There are other apps that do it but not quite the way i wanted. I simply want every calendar i have an account on to reflect the same whether it personal, family, work, clients, club, whatever.
At its core it would simply sync events from one calendar to the others, privately with no detail, no risk of leaks, and visually simple so that all the calendars reflected the same availability.
I built Meetingpad to solve that specific problem. And its been working great. If you are looking for a simple solution to calendar syncing and preventing double-booking, please download and try it out. I would love your feedback.
Since perfecting the syncing part, i've aded several additional features that turn it into a very comprehensive personal scheduling tool. The great part about it is that you can add as many calendars as you want. Here is a short list of the features... If anybody else has experience that issue and want s simple solution, you can download and try it yourself https://meetingpad.io/download.
Not the dramatic stuff that gets blocked. The quiet things you only notice an hour or a week later
Mine was two agent sessions working in the same repo. One of them went to clean up its own background process by matching the name and killed the other session's run too. No error anywhere. I just found a half finished job later and had to figure out why
