I’m Jesper, founder and CEO of BasicOps.
My co-founder Hans and I have spent our careers building productivity tools, most recently Jobvite. One problem kept following us: the work and the conversation about the work lived in different places. Status lived in someone’s head, and you had to chase it.
So we built BasicOps around one idea: communication and task tracking belong together, in one system.
Then AI agents arrived, and the same problem came back. Every tool is adding an agent on the side, with its own permissions, its own log, and its own idea of what’s going on. We think that’s the wrong design.
BasicOps is a workplace where humans and agents work together. Agents work in the same projects, tasks, and threads as your people. They use the same identity model, the same permissions, and the same audit trail, and everything they do can be reversed. We built it as one system from day one, not bolted together.

@luis_montanez2 Thats right. AI models and LLMs will become commoditized. The differentiator will be how making it truly integrated into the teams and workflows familiar to people. But it has to work for the humans first and we live in traditional collaboration spaces, Chat, email, meetings, tasks, water cooler., not LLM chat windows and widgetized skills. BasiOps normalizes working with AI for working world.
