2026 and your goals. Let's try to set them for Q1.

Since I haven't been able to meet my work goals very well in the last few quarters, I now plan to approach them more systematically and not push myself too hard on work goals, as that ultimately led to problems that made my plan less sustainable.

So here is my structure and list:

The beauty of writing

There is a beauty in the way we use reason and develop the ways in which we communicate with each other. I've been thinking about how we interact nowadays. Take this text, for example: rendered on a screen, through a "cloud," on the internet, using a machine to enlarge, revise, and improve it... it's so common now that, when we stop to think about it, it becomes completely incomprehensible. At its core, it's about transforming energy into symbols and symbols into meaning.

This is nothing new, of course. Humans have been developing many tools, but I believe the central point for all of us, as a social species, is that we need each other to accomplish tasks, even when we automate them, and to be able to work together, we need to communicate.

Lifetime plan vs. subscription model? Sustainability issue

More and more companies are using a subscription model instead of a one-time payment for a product.

Duolingo, CapCut and the like are examples of subscription models (monthly or annual), while DaVinci Resolve, for example, has a lifetime license.

How do you stay motivated when no one cares about your product?

I think most of us have been there. You keep building, shipping features, and it feels like nobody is paying attention.

Some days it really feels like shouting into the void when traction is slow.

For me, I try to remind myself why I started in the first place.

How much are you willing to pay for influencer promotion of your product?

At a time when everyone allows themselves to build any solution using AI, it is difficult to differentiate themselves, and makers are betting on more aggressive distribution.

Some differentiate themselves with good tech support, some build their personal brand as a founder, and some pay influencers.

Are kitty points important for your Product Hunt launch?

I often see founders wondering:

Do kitty points matter for ranking? Should makers have high kitty points before launching?

From Hacking Web apps to Hacking... Invoices?

Hey hunters

I started my tech journey as an ethical hacker, breaking web apps (legally ) to make them stronger. Over time, I moved into full-stack development, building tools that save people time and headaches.

Recently, I stumbled into a surprisingly overlooked pain point for freelancers and small businesses and let's just say, I've been obsessed with solving it in a way that mixes design, automation, and a little AI magic.

What innovations do you think Apple will come up with in the coming years? Expectations vs. reality

Last time we talked about Apple and its chances of gaining dominance in AI.

Many agreed that Apple:

Should the internet be age-gated and ID verified?

So recently the EU implemented digital age verification that caused people to figure out that they could use Death Stranding's photo mode to get around the verification process (lol).
The USA is about to start implementing something similar and Apple is supporting age verification through things like Verify with Wallet API.
The internet has always been the place of "freedom" and safe haven for folks, is this step towards verification something that might eventually change that into a more restricted digital knowledge base?
I'm totally in agreement with moderating how content can be distributed so it's safe for children but for some reason something feels a little off to me about this. I'm curious what everyone thinks!
How do you think these type of policies will impact our future ability to interact with the digital world?

Work ethic: Do you think a 4-day work week will bring efficiency?

I just read that Poland wants to launch a pilot project of a 4-day work week from January 2026 (although a 4-hour work week would sound better).

I want to ask if any of you in your company have tried this concept of a shorter work week, and how it has affected the results of your employees and the company?
