Hi makers! I often hear generalizations like "engineers are introverted" and "salespeople are extroverted", but in my experience working in tech I've always found great examples to challenge that. In the latest episode of "Product Hunt Radio" for example, Drift's CTO Elias Torres talked about being an extrovert and how he loves spending time across every department including customer success. Are you an extrovert, introvert or ambivert (a bit of both) and do you think that impacts the type of job you've chosen to do?
I really got into meditation a few years ago through Headspace app but in the last couple of years I've used Simple Habit. I really enjoy the variety of presenters and all the different themes and options. Curious to hear your thoughts!
Please be as detailed as you want, and include the country where you live at the moment. Background:

Startups are hard & can be stressful; it's an emotional roller coaster. I am looking forward to hearing back what are you doing to keep your mental health & inner peace. Share your experience.
Please tell me why in your replies. Would love to hear any tips. Since 2016 I've been using Medium to reflect on my career path, share learnings and mark major career milestones. It's been a great way to expand my network and increase my career capital. I also copy these over to LinkedIn where I have far more followers and connections. I enjoy writing so it's a fun and valuable way for me to work on my personal brand. I also use Twitter for meeting new folks but I prefer creating long form text versus threads. Tell me about you!
I'm spending the weekend doing accounting admin for my company Hustle Crew. Can't pretend I'm looking forward to it, but it must be done! What are you working on?
I ve had a spicy gumbo of life experiences. After almost 10 years of working in the corporate world, I left my job as a commercial real estate advisor to start my first business. That s where life got interesting co-founding a logistics business, founding an infosec biz and securing partnership with a major university and a spot in an accelerator. Crashed and burned, then taught yoga before getting back into the startup world from eco-friendly products to high-growth healthcare tech all while living in 6 different cities Now, I m focused on helping underestimated founders (people of Color, Women, LGBTQ+) create mental wealth to impact their lives and biz. Here to answer your questions about life, tech, switching industries, reinventing your life, company culture, self-care, meditation, living out of a carry-on, overcoming burnout, me, and whatever I left out
Mine is Simple Habit. I keep my phone on DND and airplane mode when I sleep and then turn on wi-fi so I can meditate before anything else. What's the first app you open on your phone in the morning?
Hey Makers! It's almost the weekend, let's share some recommendations for stuff to watch online so we can enjoy it when we take time to rest. I'm personally excited for the new season of Terrace House on Netflix. It's a Japanese reality show that follows the lives of 20-somethings in a shared house as they navigate life and love. This season they are living in Tokyo.
As entrepreneurs I know we feel that pressure to make the most of our time to hit our goals and achieve success. But rest is a huge part of productivity, too. How do you balance work and play at the weekend to avoid burnout? For me it's about blocking time and doing digital detoxes. I make sure I have scheduled time with friends outdoors doing fun stuff and then I can use Sundays to catch up on work... usually after a nice workout and brunch so I'm energised for the day! What's your strategy?
Hi Makers! Let's make this as collaborative as possible. First, start by helping out another maker -- check out their launch, give a review or share a comment on their post. Once you've helped out someone else, share your product link here. BE SPECIFIC about who your target audience is and how we can help. This thread is for you if you are:
(1) launching soon or recently launched (2) looking for beta users (3) asking for feedback on a landing page Happy making
