launching march 19 — would love early feedback before then if anyone wants to try it. speakeasy.studio.gold if you have a reading list thats getting out of hand (or use pocket / instapaper / readwise) this might be useful. happy to answer any questions here

speakeasyYour read-later list, now listenable
Pocket is dead. Instapaper is stagnant. Speechify wants $139/yr.
speakeasy is a different answer: paste any URL, get beautiful audio, listen instead of reading.
• Paste a URL → instant audio
• Beautiful, natural-sounding voices
• Saves and syncs across all your Apple devices
• Share from Safari in 2 taps
• Subscribe to newsletters and RSS feeds
• Multiple voices and playback speeds
Built for the articles you save but never get around to reading.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Nim — maker of speakeasy 🎙️ I saved thousands of articles to Pocket over 10 years. Read almost none of them. 📚 When Mozilla killed it, I thought: okay, Instapaper... Readwise... But the real problem was never where to save articles — it's that I never have time to sit down and read them. So I rebuilt the experience from scratch 🚀 🎧 Paste any URL → beautiful audio in...

Most horoscope apps give the same paragraph to everyone. Astrologica is different.
Your birth chart generates a daily reading about you — delivered as a short audio episode, like a podcast.
✦ Daily, weekly & monthly readings for your exact chart
✦ Choose your voice personality
✦ AI chat ("Why is Mercury retrograde wrecking me?")
✦ Inbox delivery too
✦ NASA JPL ephemeris — real astronomical data
✦ iOS app, live now
Not a generic sun-sign app. A personal astrologer, always available.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Nim — maker of Astrologica ✨🔮 I built this because I wanted a horoscope that actually knows me. Not the same paragraph everyone born in April gets — something built from my exact birth chart, delivered fresh every day. The aha moment 💡 The app told me my Mars return was the reason I'd been exhausted and restless for three weeks. I'd been feeling it without knowing why....

Cryptic crosswords are brilliant — but always too cluttered, too desktop-bound, too intimidating.
Wordplay fixes that. One curated clue every morning. Solve it in a minute, or twenty.
✦ One clue per day — no overwhelm
✦ Mobile-first with daily color themes
✦ Emoji hints when you're stuck
✦ Streaks, solve times & achievements
✦ Offline-first
✦ Shareable result cards (think Wordle, but harder)
✦ 30 days of history, free
If cryptics always seemed intimidating — this is your way in.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Nim — creator of **Minute Cryptic • Wordplay** 🧩 Hot take: most cryptic puzzles are stuck in the past 😬📜 Great minds. Terrible mobile experience. Cluttered layouts. Zero onboarding. Not made for daily life. So I rebuilt the experience from scratch 🚀 ✅ One focused clue per day ✅ Mobile-first design ✅ Emoji hints 😏 ✅ Clean structure ✅ No overwhelm This is cryptics for 2026...

building speakeasy — ios app that converts article urls into audio. paste a link, get a podcast-style listen. works for substack, medium, blogs, twitter threads etc stack: mobile: expo (react native), nativewind for styling, revenuecat for subs - backend: fastapi + postgres, deployed on hetzner via coolify - tts: inworld ai (primary), openai tts as fallback - storage: icloud drive via...

id add "ai-native content consumption" to the list tbh. the way people read (or dont read) the things they save is broken. i built speakeasy which turns article urls into audio — bc most people have way more to read than time to sit and read it. audio unlocks commutes, gym, cooking etc feels underinvested relative to how much content overload is a real problem. podcast apps are huge but "listen...

as someone building ai-powered products, my trust framework is basically: high trust for generation, low trust for decisions i use ai (claude specifically) to generate content in astrologica (astrologica.app) — it creates personalised daily horoscope podcasts from your birth chart. the ai generates the script, but there's a human-designed pipeline around it: the prompts are carefully crafted,...

mine was speakeasy — an ios app that converts article urls into audio so u can listen while commuting or doing dishes stack: expo + react native for mobile, fastapi backend, inworld tts (with openai as fallback), icloud for storage hardest part was honestly the audio chunking. inworld has a 2000 char limit so i had to split at sentence boundaries and stitch the chunks together cleanly. lots of...

my q1 goals are all about shipping and getting real users on 3 ios apps i built last year: 1. launch speakeasy (speakeasy.studio.gold) on product hunt — it's an article-to-audio converter. goal: 500 free users, 50 paid conversions by end of q1. the product works, now it's about distribution 2. grow astrologica (astrologica.app) daily listeners — it's an ai horoscope podcast from your birth...

solo maker building 3 ios apps under the studio.gold umbrella. all native swift/swiftui, mostly vibecoded with claude honestly 1. speakeasy (speakeasy.studio.gold) — paste any article url, converts to audio. stack: swift, AVFoundation for playback, server-side tts pipeline. the core challenge was making voice quality good enough that you'd actually listen for 10+ minutes 2. astrologica...

this is such a clever mashup — the cryptic + wordle format is genuinely satisfying when the clue clicks the thing i kept running into with similar games is they assume you already know how cryptic clues work. if you don't know what a "hidden word indicator" or a "charade" is you're just guessing that's why i've been using wordplay (wordplay.studio.gold) alongside — it's one cryptic clue per day...

great thread. i'm prepping to launch 3 ios apps on PH this year (speakeasy — article-to-audio, astrologica — ai horoscope podcast, wordplay — daily cryptic crossword) so this is super relevant what i've been doing that feels like it's working: 1. actually participating in forums before launch day. not just lurking — genuinely answering questions, giving feedback on other products. people check...

ok roast me. i built three "single-serving" ios apps — each one does exactly one thing per day: 1. astrologica (astrologica.app) — an ai-generated daily horoscope podcast based on your actual birth chart. yes, horoscopes. yes, ai. yes, a podcast. i know how it sounds. roast away 2. speakeasy (speakeasy.studio.gold) — paste any article url and it converts to audio. for people with 400 saved...

i've shipped 3 ios apps mostly vibecoded with claude — not "zero code knowledge" but definitely "couldn't have built these without ai" territory. i'm a designer who can read code but wouldn't call myself a developer the apps: speakeasy (speakeasy.studio.gold) — article-to-audio converter. astrologica (astrologica.app) — ai daily horoscope podcast. wordplay (wordplay.studio.gold) — daily cryptic...
