Here s what s happening: we re living through a fundamental shift in how people discover and engage with brands online. The old playbook -> build a website, drive traffic, convert -> is being rewritten by mobile-native behaviors and micro-attention spans.
As a marketer, I ve seen this evolution firsthand. The brands winning today aren t necessarily the ones with the most sophisticated websites. They re the ones meeting their audience where they already are, with content optimized for how people actually behave online.
I used to think getting better at networking meant showing up at every event and DM ing like crazy.
Turns out, I just needed to make a small change.
I started using an e-business card (by wisery.io) at meetings, conferences, and unexpected introductions, and here s what happened - people FINALLY remembered me.
Whenever I click through to the social media profiles of the makers in the product hunt community, I find that they are quite versatile and are involved in things other than just business.
What other skills do you have besides your work skills?
I feel like it would be pretty awesome to have a short video scrolling feature to discover the products that maybe could not make it to the top but have so much value.
Then even if your launch flopped you can redeem yourself by appearing in the feed of others.
In my opinion, the startup scene is not evenly supported, and some countries are not so passionate about business. I'm from Central Europe, and I don't feel any extra entrepreneurial spirit here. From my observations, countries like France, and Germany (maybe Poland) have always been mainly startup-oriented.
In terms of more favourable taxes for entrepreneurs, Cyprus and Estonia came to mind.
But maybe I'm wrong and I'm overlooking local communities.
I see how some creators on Subtsack are monetizing their content (they have a section for subscribers who can pay to access articles, videos, and private chat).

I ve attended a few conferences and meetups over the past two years always for a different purpose. Sometimes it was just 1. to socialise , other times 2. to interview guests, 3. find PR or 4. sell products. I have to say that the last item on this list was the least fulfilling we recruited a few trial users, but there were minimal paying customers. How do you approach similar events?
What positive results have you seen from it? [If you have any recommendations for meetups or conferences where people are more open to buying a product, I d be grateful if you could share them.]
