Glad the project was thought-provoking! That was one of the reasons we decided to build it. As technologists, we spend almost all our attention pontificating, predicting, and inventing the future, we forget sometimes history can give us just the inspiration we need. Here are a few products & tech that come to mind as worth revisiting: In the early 2020s, there's was a personal knowledge...

This is really cool! Could this work with podcast recording platforms like Riverside? I'd love to be able to turn the highlights from my long form podcasts into clips for social. And by the way, how did you make the hero images (in your PH post)? They're really good! Well done π

Teams known for shipping are often the best at showcasing their work (e.g. think about how many new release tweets you've seen from the Claude Code team). "Work like hell and advertise." mantra. Love you've really reduced the friction between shipping and communicating to users. Cool aesthetic, too!

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Oscar, the maker of Startup.RIP π The best startup ideas aren't always new. They're remixes that entered a market at the right time. Lyrebird (S17) built AI voice cloning in 2017 and folded. Years later, ElevenLabs hit $11B valuation on the same idea. Multiple YC companies tried prediction markets before regulatory changes enabled Kalshi to go mainstream. It pays to learn...

Startups.RIPRebuild 1,738+ dead YC startups with AI
Startups often fail because of timing, not ideas. Startups.RIP is a wiki of 1,700+ YC startups that shut down or got acquired. Our AI research agent writes a detailed post-mortem (what they built, why they failed, what's changed since) and a rebuild playbook with implementation-ready technical specs you can drop straight into your AI coding agent. Every failed startup is a validated market with unfinished business. Shortcut the idea maze. Start with what almost worked.

Hey PH! π @markmdev and I made Straude. The NYTimes recently covered the "tokenmaxxing" trend sweeping across Silicon Valley β the idea that AI token consumption is becoming the new status metric for AI-native builders. Companies like Meta, OpenAI, and Shopify are tracking it on internal dashboards. Jensen Huang proposed giving engineers a token budget as high as 50% of their salary. At the...

Excited to use Clayzo instead of taking a million screenshots & jumping in a bunch of flow-breaking huddles throughout the day. Being able to ship fixes fast without risking breaking prod is nice too π
Curious if Clayzo has different triage flows for small edits (e.g. copy or UI changes) vs. higher eng lift tasks (involving backend, database, APIs, etc.)? And does AI route the different...

Bookshelf has been a game-changer for me since using it as my primary reading tracker the past few years! It's beautifully designed, easy-to-use, and feature-complete. Like having a great book you can't wait to jump back into, Bookshelf has inspired me to read more, and better too. Everyone complains about Goodreads & their hard-on-the-eyes UI, but now I really only use it to look up reviews....

Hey Product Hunt! π Ever struggled to find a startup you've forgotten or lost in your Twitter feed? Frustrated with SEO-dominated search results? @fahmitech and I felt the same, so we built StartupWiz. Unlike general-purpose LLMs, which prioritise well-indexed, established companies, StartupWiz combines neural search + web retrieval to surface under-the-radar startups. It's like having your...

What a beautiful & clever tool! It reminds me of the "Thing Explainer" book by Randall Munroe (which I thoroughly enjoyed), but bringing it to every book. Congrats on the successful launch! The only question now is, what will I learn next with Trellis? π€

I've been a long time reader of the Inside newsletter, so it's awesome to see you all add the community engagement layer on top with this new web app. Excited to use it & congrats on the launch! Q: I am a bit curious about the tech stack chosen for this product. Specifically, did the Inside team consider using any of the forum-as-a-service / community management software in the market? What...

Loved trying out Tome during the beta! I think there's so much untapped potential in a new medium that just lets me focus on telling a compelling story w/o being slowed down by any of the formatting details. Amazing team + delightful product, can't wait to see more Tomes out in the wild π

Product-driven SaaS companies want to hear more of their customer's voice (or at least know that they should), but existing workflows are tedious & disjointed, like moving from ticket/email thread to scheduling to the actual customer call days/weeks later. With Cohere Voice, you can easily embed a customer voice channel directly into your product. I'm definitely looking forward to human-centric...
