Work from home or Work from office?

Someone told me a line, which I thought would be good for a discussion to have: Accept it - "If you can't trust your team to work from home; you don't trust them at all." Ps: I like to work from the office Please share your comments and views on the same.

Goodbye tracking cookies. 😓

After years of building software, tracking cookies are coming to an end and am worried we're reaching the end of SaaS which basically means after years of trying to build SaaS products not only am I left with no revenue but also thousands of dollars on advertising in Google Ads wasted. I literly have just built a new software product and am already worried enough about the Google Sign in javascript library being deprecated and have switched to direct API calls as they said that will still be an option. Should I give up after 4 years and ditch my hobby? I'm getting really depressed knowing that I seem to have already missed the good days of SaaS. Please review https://obeatow.com and give me real feedback as know one is helping me on https://indiehackers.com.

What are some challenges you faced when you started working on your product?

Working on a new product can take an immense amount of planning and dealing with challenges before you even get started designing! What are the one or two most significant challenges you faced when putting your product together? Was it finding suitable funding? Deciding who you would work with or anything else.

Is Elon Musk hated just because or is there more to it?

I know this subject is controversial, but the thing is that society is all over the place. Theres people mad at that celebrity, others mad at some company, and so on. Do you think its that sort of situation where it seems as if society is over reacting about something he did, or do you think theres more to it than that? I'm just curious on what you think or know. Please note im not going to hate him just because society does or anyone or anything.

I’m Justin Kan, former co-founder of Twitch, co-founder of Fractal, and now co-founder of Rye! AMA!

I cofounded and recently launched Rye - an eCommerce API that lets developers add new revenue streams for their products by adding eCommerce and checkout into any app or website. Ask me anything about Rye, entrepreneurship, eCommerce, and crypto. I'll be answering questions on Friday, the 14th of October!

New Canva competitor is coming

Looks like Microsoft wants a slice of Canva's growing pie. That's for sure better (for us) than buying it out. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/12/...

Is it just me or am I actually seeing what I think I am?

So I keep seeing users not upgrading to the paid plan right? So I do the obvious and write a post asking for feedback as to why people aren't upgrading. Well, instead I get people saying hey, your graphics essentially look terrible. But when I mention that Notions graphics look worse, no one will admit how terrible Notions whole landing page is terrible. The whole post is here: https://www.indiehackers.com/pos... So i make higher quality graphics and add more product screenshots while im at it. I even post that Brutask.coms graphics look similar to mine. So is it just me or do some of these people just seem like they half way have value?

Where do you stand about developing a web app on a no-code platform?

We are currently building an automated task management app on Bubble.io. The platform is quite comprehensive, however as expected there are some limitations when it compared to native applications. I experienced that these limitations are easily resolvable by embedding some code inside, and no-code development definitely fastens the app development process. What do you think about no-code app development platforms? Have you used one before? Let's meet in the comments!

The list of worst SaaS landing pages is fineally here.

This post should of existed a while ago. When I would Google "worst SaaS landing pages", I would get nothing but the best of everything when researching this stuff, because it should exist considering how big the industry is, nope. This list is as good as it gets as theres nothing else. 1. https://kanbanflow.com Why? It is way too busy on first approach and design is dated 2. https://sniply.io Why? The design is dated and dated design is a landing pages enemy. Its one thing for your lets say personal site to look bad, but this is for marketing and SEO, not for what you totally want it to be. 3. https://notion.so Why? Despite being a good software, it lacks a good up to date looking landing page. I hade a massive arguement about it here with a bunch of f*ckers who of couse have to also own software products (some of them) and force a landing page change: https://www.indiehackers.com/pos.... Thats the bad side of business, any sane person would admit how bad the landing page really is. 4. https://nolly.io Why? looks fine, until you scroll to bottom and see clip art, but bad clip art. Just click it and you'll see how tiny those heads are on those people, and if you don't notice, your not fully examing the design. 5. https://supersaas.com Why? Its terrible just even looking at it. looks like its never been redsigned and the software experience its self its terrible too.
