As a consumer, how important is it for you to align with a company's values?

I am curious to learn about this community. If you learnt that the founders of the product you use or the company is involved in activities that you don't personally (morally or value systems wise) align with, are you less likely to go back to the product? On the other hand, if you do find founder aligning with your vision of the world, are you more likely to use their products? For example: will you stop going to a bar if the owner misbehaved with people or it's own staff? Will you buy into a brand because it does good for the world(save up for a more expensive jacket instead of buying a cheap fast-fashion brand)? Will you stop using a giant company because it is driving local businesses to bankruptcy?

POLL: Do you pay for ad-free YouTube?

I've noticed recently that YouTube are offering me very tempting free trials to upgrade to their ad-free version which also includes original premium content. While I was excited by the idea of ad-free YouTube when they announced the news a few years back, as a frugal person I never made the investment. Do you pay for ad-free YouTube, and if so, do you feel it's worth it?

What outreach channels have not worked for your first 100 users? (+Book recommendation of what does)

I have done a lot of mistakes while trying to grow a product. [You will see my list down below] From knowing nothing about product growth, to too many expensive experiments, I have come a long way and I continue to learn. I am curious about what are some of the methods/channels, that you know through your experiences, that just don't work at all. (This of course totally depends on the kind of products as well) P.S: You should pick up Traction by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares. It's a good starting point to identify right channels.
