I am curious to learn about this community. If you learnt that the founders of the product you use or the company is involved in activities that you don't personally (morally or value systems wise) align with, are you less likely to go back to the product? On the other hand, if you do find founder aligning with your vision of the world, are you more likely to use their products? For example: will you stop going to a bar if the owner misbehaved with people or it's own staff? Will you buy into a brand because it does good for the world(save up for a more expensive jacket instead of buying a cheap fast-fashion brand)? Will you stop using a giant company because it is driving local businesses to bankruptcy?
I've noticed recently that YouTube are offering me very tempting free trials to upgrade to their ad-free version which also includes original premium content. While I was excited by the idea of ad-free YouTube when they announced the news a few years back, as a frugal person I never made the investment. Do you pay for ad-free YouTube, and if so, do you feel it's worth it?
I have done a lot of mistakes while trying to grow a product. [You will see my list down below] From knowing nothing about product growth, to too many expensive experiments, I have come a long way and I continue to learn. I am curious about what are some of the methods/channels, that you know through your experiences, that just don't work at all. (This of course totally depends on the kind of products as well) P.S: You should pick up Traction by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares. It's a good starting point to identify right channels.
Hey everyone, this has been a personal struggle for a while now. I have a lot of PDFs and I like making notes, annotating them, and keeping them in one place. I attempted using the kindle app on mac for it, but it's just not working out. I am unable to sync the notes and keep them in one place. How do you handle all the PDFs? I use a mac, I would love your recommendations for it.
Hello everyone! I am trying to wrap my head around this. I follow James Clear's newsletter: https://jamesclear.com/3-2-1 .
It comes to my email, but it is also hosted on his website. I am trying to figure out what tools or what ways could one actually do this. Could you please help me with some leads? Thank you so much!
Could be an app, or a friend group. or some other hack... Full disclosure: I'm currently testing out some ways to form habits together in a social way so looking for a feedback from everyone I can
The Washington Post shared an interesting article today about teens and parental controls which got wondering how the community felt about this topic? https://www.washingtonpost.com/t...
The decline of WeWork following the failed IPO attempt is making many of us makers and remote workers doubt the future of co-working. I'm personally still bullish about the future of co-working because I see the way we work changing a lot over the coming decades. Specifically I see employers embracing flexible working and doing what it takes to hire and recruit the best talent -- regardless of their location or personal circumstances. What do you think?
Hey guys, I've been working on something in travel and I would love to know what you guys looked into while booking. It could be anything so don't hesitate to write.
