How do you handle pricing strategies and discounts?

When I was studying economics, we always said that we base the price on these basic things:

cost level

competition

prominence of the industry/product

Should you offer free access when launching a paid product on Product Hunt?

I'm seeing more products launch on Product Hunt that require payment to actually use any features. No free trial, no freemium tier, just a download that leads straight to a paywall.

Part of me thinks this makes sense. If your product has real value, why give it away? People on Product Hunt understand they're looking at premium tools. Plus offering free access can attract users who will never pay anyway.

But I also see the argument for temporary free access during launch. Product Hunt users want to actually try what they're upvoting. How can they give meaningful feedback or become advocates if they hit a paywall immediately?

Should a company like Meta be involved in military combat technology?

Anytime we want to see technological advancements, we either keep an eye on Product Hunt, Techcrunch or the military. And that's today's case.

In the morning, I read this announcement:

Meta is partnering with defense tech company Anduril to develop AR/VR headsets for the U.S. military, starting with a new device called EagleEye. The new headset will include night vision, thermal sensing, and augmented reality features.
The partnership has raised eyebrows due to Meta s role in data and AI, and the ethical implications of a social media giant entering the military tech space.

Early traction, but blocked by payments and funding. What would you do?

Hey PH fam I launched Lumoar (B2B SaaS startup) three weeks ago and we have already seen over 100 users sign up and lots of positive feedback. It s clear there is a demand and I feel there s potential in this. But now I have hit a wall. Because of my country, international payment platforms like Stripe or PayPal don t provide API access so I can t monetize or implement a paid plan right now. I ve talked to some investors, but they expect initial capital or revenue before they d consider funding. Bootstrapping got me this far, but moving forward without monetization or investment is getting really difficult. If you ve dealt with something like this (or just have thoughts), I d love to hear: What would you do in this situation? Any creative approaches, funding workarounds, or even alternative payment methods I should look into? Appreciate any advice

How do you make your product instantly feel like it's for them?

We ve had tweets hit thousands of views and get zero users.

But when we DM someone with a clear pain point, they sign up in 10 minutes.

That s when it clicked:

Marketing isn t about reach it s about resonance.

How do you separate your personal life from your work life?

When you're a 9-5 employee, it's relatively easy to determine when your work starts and ends.

But what about when you work for yourself?

Single people probably have no boundaries in this, but a completely different scenario occurs when you have a family.
