I'm Rasto, a solo maker from Slovakia, working under the artist name RafFel. For the past months I've been building Paintiano an instrument that turns music into paintings.
The twist: there's no AI randomness in the core. Every chord maps to color through a deterministic system built on the circle of fifths and the golden ratio ( ). Play the same song twice, you get the same painting because the painting is the music, not an interpretation of it. Think of it as a conceptual artwork that happens to be an app.
What it does today: Play the piano, sing, or let it listen to a song in the room it paints live Feed it MIDI, audio, sheet music, or a photo 18 artist styles (Kandinsky, Rothko, Kusama, Mondrian ), print-ready exports up to A1 Free tier, no account, no card just paint
Drop in a song, MIDI or audio — Paintiano paints it note for note on a golden-ratio grid, the same painting every time. Not a random visualizer: a real translation of music into colour. Watch it paint as it plays, then keep the artwork. Free to try.
