GPT took 13 minutes to do a simple task...

We ve all been there: You fire up an AI assistant, and before you can ask anything useful, you re stuck clicking through integrations, uploading files, or connecting drives. By the time you get results, you ve lost the very speed AI was supposed to give you.

We built Finden to solve this.

Tool Integrations: Other AIs make you click and configure endlessly. Finden works instantly with your business stack zero friction.

Tristan Pollock joins Finden as an Advisor

When @pollock hunted @Finden on @Product Hunt, it wasn t just a launch moment, it was a signal. Tristan has spent nearly two decades building movements, scaling communities into the millions, and backing hundreds of founders. He s created over $1B in enterprise and community value.

So why did he choose Finden? Because he saw in us what he s helped build before: ideas bold enough to become movements.

One month ago we launched on Product Hunt. We got #3 Product of the Day🥉

One month ago we launched on Product Hunt. We got #3 Product of the Day

What we learned:

  • Launch day is only the tip of the iceberg

  • Preparation is everything, momentum is built long before you hit publish

  • The community you nurture matters just as much as the product you ship

  • A PH launch builds credibility and brand authority but it doesn t necessarily drive conversions. That s a separate challenge.

Settle this debate: should new forum posts get an automatic upvote from the OP?

Have you noticed that when you post to the forum, your posts have 0 upvotes? Wouldn't it make sense that the OP would want to upvote their own content? Asked another way, why post something that isn't worthy of your own upvote?

Do you prep content in advance or post in the moment?

Creating content in 2025 is super typical. Being a content creator as a founder isn t optional anymore, it s almost a requirement if you want to grow your business and brand. But you have to be consistent. And some people prepare content in advance or post in the moment.

I see both styles all the time.

Sometimes the simplest things become the most challenging

The hardest part of building Finden wasn t what we expected everyone talks about building data pipelines. I didn't think building one was that hard. But building a pipeline that can actually handle messy, complex, high-volume data, while still delivering answers, that was brutal!

When we took @Finden from idea to product, this was our biggest surprise. Scaling pipelines wasn t just an engineering problem, it became the problem.

How much are you willing to pay for influencer promotion of your product?

At a time when everyone allows themselves to build any solution using AI, it is difficult to differentiate themselves, and makers are betting on more aggressive distribution.

Some differentiate themselves with good tech support, some build their personal brand as a founder, and some pay influencers.

What was the first thing that broke when you started scaling?

All founders and builders will have something break at some point. For us at @Finden, it was when we grew from 10 to 100 users. The data was coming in faster than expected, and our queue to process and understand it quickly became overloaded. This meant onboarding slowed down. It was frustrating at the time, but it taught us a vital lesson: always design for scale, not just for your current users.

We ve since re-architected parts of the system to handle growth much more smoothly. But that first break was a reminder that scale is the ultimate stress test.

What has been your biggest technical challenge?

At @Finden, the biggest tech challenge we ve faced has been making search truly accurate, not all documents are equal, for example an email structure is completely differently to a transcript.

One model wasn t enough. We had to build and train different models for different document types, then weave them together into one search engine. It s been tough, but the result is powerful, a search experience that understands your data.

Finden obtained the Google CASA 2 certification

Finden has obtained the Google CASA 2 certification, for those unfamiliar, CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) is Google s benchmark for security and compliance. Level 2 means our systems meet higher standards of data protection, risk controls, and user safety.

If you re trusting AI tools with sensitive workflows, security isn t a 'nice-to-have', it should be essential. This milestone is just one step in our commitment to building trusted, transparent AI infrastructure.

Product Hunt discontinued coming soon / teaser pages. Did they work for you?

I noticed that Product Hunt discontinued the teaser / coming soon section this week, and I m curious if it did help you build genuine traction?

My take (from hunting PH launches):

What’s your go-to project management tool?

We re adding more integrations to Finden everyday, next up will be a Project Management software.

What s your go-to project management tool, and what s the one feature that makes it indispensable for you?

Apple’s “Late Mover” Strategy in AI, smart or risky?

Is really behind in the AI race? Apple has never rushed in. They wait, watch competitors battle it out, then drop something polished, intuitive, and deeply integrated into everyday life.

Do you think there's any chance that Apple will win the AI battle?

The most prominent pioneer in AI is certainly OpenAI, but Grok, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude aren t doing badly either.

And now that these tools have already adapted to the market, it feels like Apple is only just waking up.

What’s your favorite social platform in 2025?

Social media has evolved a lot.

What started as a way to stay in touch with classmates and friends has turned into something entirely different: a place where everyone, from students to CEOs, is creating content, building audiences, and gaining professional exposure.
