Common Sense Media published a report on this topic, and it reminded me of how big a bubble I live in.
When Meta announced back in 2024/2025 that they wanted to create AI avatars to boost engagement, I was skeptic, but data speaks clearly young people enjoy AI interaction.
Pocket is shutting down - by now, we all know that. I wasn t a regular user myself, but I did test the app about a year ago.
From what I m seeing in the comments, long-time users are understandably panicking. There are plenty of alternatives out there, but it seems like people are struggling to find something they can easily switch to.
So I m curious - how did you use Pocket?
And have you found a replacement that actually works for you?
Hey there!
Hope you are well. I'm looking for a scalable way to reward people. Does a product like this exist? For example, engage with this social post and get a $5 giftcard to starbucks. But need the giftcard to generate automatically each time, until X dollar threshold. Happy to look at similar products, any ideas for how I can reward my community easily. Thank you in advance!
Today I registered to talk about my product, but new accounts do not have the necessary rights. We'll have to wait a week, but for me it won't be long, since I created my MVP back in August last year. I read recommendations on how to present a product at PH. Everywhere it is written that you need to carefully prepare for your only chance to talk about the product. But it seems to me that creating and launching a good product is not something that happens the first time. I believe that creating and launching products is a craft that needs to be developed gradually. I am not an experienced businessman. And now I have a lot to learn. I need to learn how to invent a product. I need to learn how to implement one selected product. I need to learn how to present my products to clients. Maybe I missed something important? Add me in the comments please. To solve these problems, I decided to try myself in the challenge of launching 12 projects in 12 months. I'm a programmer, and in August last year I developed an MVP product relatively quickly. But I haven't announced it here yet. I need to do this to close the gestalt and move on to the next product. Yesterday I was in therapy with my psychologist and we found it hard to get people's attention. We've done some exercises and maybe that's why I'm back to my PH declaration task. I also noticed that here, in the free plan, there will be no opportunity to talk about my second product. The paid plan costs $59 per month. But I'm not sure that even one of my future products will bring even a hundred dollars. Moreover, I have no illusions that I will quickly create a useful project and get into the international news agenda. I need a platform for my careful experiments to bring the project to the public and get feedback. Perhaps the RN administration will be able to create some kind of section for less experienced startups. Or maybe someone else can suggest a better site. Or I can take the initiative to create such a community into my own hands. I looking for friends and associates. Maybe someone will give me an idea for the next product. I would also appreciate information on where to look for consumer needs. Since childhood, I dreamed of creating IT products. I became a successful programmer 10 years ago, but still haven't created my own successful project. Help me join the startup movement. Thanks for attention.
For most of us here, working means looking at the screen for at least 6 - 8 hours a day by the end of which a brain freeze is likely, that s okay, that s work, we need to make things happen . Question is things you like to do after that to relax, please share with us
Every couple weeks at SigmaOS we do sprint plans to lay out the tasks for the next 2 weeks and every morning we do a standup to quickly go over what we did the day before and what we are doing today. Would love to hear what your thoughts on this is and what you use in your own teams :)
Hey PH community, would love some recommendations on this! With all the various legal documentation required to cover our backs while building a product, what are your affordable (free) solutions for these documents at an MVP stage, when a startup doesn't really have the budgets for this stuff?
I wonder how much you rely on your gut feeling.
...
Emotional self-awareness is essential for good decision-making, and neuroscience backs this up. Learning how to use your gut feeling is a brilliant skill of the few who know. It works in all circumstances: raising money, finding the right investors, partnering with someone, negotiating an acquisition, hiring an employee... If you are unaware of what causes excitement or fear you re condemned to be ruled by innate biases that were indispensable to your ancestors but leading to irrational decision-making today. For example, your amygdala activates the same way when seeing a snake or seeing a face of another race. (Even more so if you were not raised in a mixed environment.) Such confusion can lead to plenty of bad decisions.
Hey makers! It's the end of another week (phew ). What have you accomplished this week? List them below, every accomplishment big or small deserves a round of applause!
Hi everyone Would love to hear what you did to get your first paying customers outside of your family and friends group. We re about to roll out our product and I m curious what has worked for you. Thanks for sharing
Elon Musk along with a bunch of few other companies like Apple asked for pausing AI development beyond GPT-4 for 6 months. What are your thoughts on this ? Follow me on Twitter for AI news :- https://twitter.com/matchaman11
This question is for employees who have or would like to transition to working from home, but employers are free to respond with their thoughts as well.
