New AI models pop up every week. Some developer tools like @Cursor, @Zed, and @Kilo Code let you choose between different models, while more opinionated products like @Amp and @Tonkotsu default to 1 model.
Curious what the community recommends for coding tasks? Any preferences?
After a very, very long 2 years, I have recently launched my app (not on PH yet, just to my waitlist and opened the app to the general public). I would love to connect with anyone who is interested in using this kind of app and get some feedback.
This is something I ll find out in just a short while, one week from now (Jan 28), as I m about to re-launch a digital detox app. If you want, follow, maybe you will be on watch of my steps and activities
Hey everyone, My name is Jonathan, and I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I've been a long time lurker of PH, and after 2 years of development I'm finally ready to launch my product. Full disclosure, I'm not really sure how to get some exposure on this platform and this post is primarily to help with that. I saw this forum and figured it would be a good start. I'm a software developer with 20+ years of experience, having worked for Fortune 100 companies, as well as co-founded a fintech startup in London (which failed after 6 or 7 odd years). I have since gone solo and have been working as a consultant while developing my first app, Bookie. If you'd like to read more about me and my motivation you can read my article here.
TLDR, I love coding but became a bit disillusioned with the industry after a while. I understand the why's of investor demands and bottom lines, but somewhere along the way I feel like software has become less and less about the people who use it, and more about what can be extracted from them. I want to build beautiful software that actually makes you want to use it, while solving the primary problem it sets out to. I believe in slow and organic growth, as well as honest software that actually listens to the people who use it, and grows with and for them. I am really excited to launch my product in the coming days. If you're interested in checking it out before, you can find it here.
A tagline is the first piece of content a user will see about your product on the leaderboard. It's so important that you get it right. You should be able to get a really solid idea of what your product is just by reading a handful of words.
In the spirit of forever optimising our taglines, I wanted to do a little experiment:
