Are startup accelerators still worth it in 2025?

Lately there s been a growing wave of skepticism around VCs, Y Combinator, and accelerators in general. And to be fair: I get it.

We now live in an age where almost everything you need to learn can be found online. The gatekeepers are fewer, the knowledge is everywhere, and solo builders have never been more empowered.

PH Launch day!

We re super excited about our Product Hunt Launch today! We hope you help us with voting and leaving us a review!

A Big Thank You! and a Big Ask

Thank you everyone for the support. I have received nearly 40 signups and 1 paid user which is massive for me as I am still on the early stages of validating the product. So thank you everyone.
Next steps: Even though the signups are coming in I am tracking the usage of the app and I dont see many users running the evaluations and I need help. How should I get you to try and test the product.
My current thoughts are:
- User using their API keys means friction and would go away from the platform as can't test it immediately so perhaps allow free trial with my API key which involves unlimited runs with 3 test cases.

- Create a onboarding guide? Like the ones of enterprise softwares that says "Click here" "Next Steps": What tool can I use for this?

For both the options above will still need to inform them about the updates and hope they will signin again.

- Reach out to all 40 users for a 1-1 15 mins call and show them the product. Assuming 30% respond that 12 calls booked.
Do you have any suggestions? Keen on feedback. This is critical as I need to solve these issues before building next features i.e (Adding more models and multi model runs).

If anyone has any tips or lessons whether related to producthunt or coding or just in general for me, im all ears.

How do you protect your identity and your data on the internet?

Each of us leaves a digital footprint on the internet. The only difference is how much data and information we share publicly about ourselves.

For example, my local friend doesn't use his photo or name on his profiles so that no one will associate him too much with his income or political ideology.

Hi Product hunt members. I just made my first launch yesterday with an advanced Dev ai chat UI

I've had a long technical career in networking, integration, software, computers, configurations, testing, debugging and more for over 25 years. It wasn't until about 5 years ago i started making my own experiment's using Arduino IDE. After that i continued on with python courses, java, android studio creating all kinds of applications for users or production testing environments, which led me to here: A full featured AI chat UI that rivals and out performs Chat GPT in features and enhancements. If your building ai chats, I'm happy to share my knowledge and experience.

I'm not a seasoned professional developer, rather i consider myself a highly skilled and educated knowledge worker.

I have an idea, would love your feedback. πŸš€

Hey Product Hunt friends

I ve been thinking about a new way to help non-technical founders launch SaaS products, without needing to build from scratch or hire a full dev team.

Text to voice (reader) for threads + ugc

While on a walk yesterday, I wanted to learn about the Spain/Portugal blackout. Hacker News had a great thread on the blackout. I used ElevenReader (amazing product by @ElevenLabs) to listen to the thread. Overall, it worked great, but:

  • The reader treated new comments as just new paragraphs. So I had no idea when the reader transitioned between comments/responses. Usernames of commenters were not mentioned.

  • Urls were read out fully. This is brutal.

  • It would be awesome to skip to next comment with a voice command.

Any product recommendations for this? Or maybe @ElevenLabs is already thinking about this?

What’s one mindset shift that helped you grow (in work or life)?

When I first started in marketing, I used to wait for the perfect moment.

The perfect design.

The perfect words.

The perfect timing.

Hello this is furkan

I am a mechanical engineer. I am a technical manager at a scaled engineering company. I like coding and managing projects. I started with one my pains.
I use iPhone and I have lots of notes from 2018 to now. One day I discovered that I have important informations in one of that notes. I dreamed that how it could be if one day this note tell me that I m here, do not forget me!
I created Noteify for that reason. It sends notifications of notes to me with a smart spaced repetion technology. I get notified acc. to selection between 3 categories:
Urgent, Normal, Long-term
The period between 2 notification is always increasing by a factor (you did not hear this from me, the factor is 1.2 ) For example, you get notified 3 hours later after as a first notification then this period incrrases to 3*1.2 = 3.6 hours ~ 3 hrs 36min
This is an intro for me for PH, tomorrow is my first launch for Noteify. If you have feedbacks, I am here to listen carefully. Have good hunts!

What are your go-to Youtube ▢️ channels for solopreneurs?

I feel like Im using Youtube more than anything else every single day. I want to learn some "hidden gems" channels, cause I feel I seen it all. Ideally channels around solopreneurship/indiehackers, 0$ marketing strategies, how-to-sell stuff fast, philosophy and economics. Here are my GO-TO channels that I watch almost daily:

  • @Raoul Pal the Journey man (Macro investing in crypto)

  • @Money ZG (macro investing in crypto)

  • @Pursuit of Wonder (interesting concepts around societal psychology & philosophy)

  • @Fireship - Tech edgelord (lol)

  • @Greg Isenberg (Solopreneurship)

  • @Starter Story (Solopreneurship, How to build and market apps)

What are yours?

Hi PH! Volkan, Developer of Kitlayer

Hi Product Hunt community!

I m Volkan, a developer with a passion for solving problems for creatives. As someone who s worked closely with designers, I ve seen how much time they spend hunting for quality resources like stock photos, fonts, or mockups. That frustration inspired me to build Kitlayer, a platform that curates the best design resource sites in one place, so designers can focus on creating instead of searching.

I m super excited to join this vibrant community and share Kitlayer with you! We re in beta, and I d love to hear from designers and fellow makers: What s your favorite design resource? What s the biggest pain point in your workflow? Any ideas to make Kitlayer even better?
