Is replying to support emails instantly actually hurting your product?

I used to think answering support tickets within minutes was the secret to keeping users happy. But after being forced to step away for a few days, I realized fast replies were actually backfiring.

Because I was answering right away, users stopped checking our basic help guides and just emailed us for every minor thing. Giving them a bit of breathing room actually encouraged them to figure things out on their own.

Does anyone else feel like instant customer support creates bad habits instead of better retention?

Logout should mean logout. Why doesn't it across most apps?

you hit logout. the app says you're out. but somewhere, on another device, on another app using the same login, your session is still alive.

most users assume logout means logout everywhere. it doesn't. it usually means logout from this tab, on this device, right now. everything else keeps running until the token expires.

Throughput went up. My evenings got worse.

I build a product mostly on my own, with agents doing a growing share of the mechanical work. This year my output went up and my days got worse, and it took me a while to see why.

Automation ate the typing. It did not touch the checking, and it multiplied the number of things waiting to be checked.

Then I found telemetry that matches: Faros AI looked at two years of workflow data from 22,000 developers across 4,000+ teams. Task throughput per developer up 33.7%. Median time a pull request sits in review up 441.5%. Daily PR contexts per developer up 67.4%.
