With improved generative models now being widely available, we re reaching a point where we can get full front-end code and simple functioning code for apps from a single prompt. What are the factors that determine whether development roles can be replaced by models? What s our added value as humans?
Hey there! As some of you may know from previous discussions, I m a big fan of eco-friendly tech and design practices. I wanted to share some tech finds from apps to sites and know if you ve also found some useful and ecological alternatives to digital products. Let me start by sharing a personal favourite: Earthly Insight. Although not really into AI chatbots, I find it very nice that this company is destining 33% of their revenue to climate action. What are some eco-friendly tech finds you ve been loving lately?

Hey there! After two months of hard work, I'm proud to introduce Nomadful ID, a new app feature that will help users do anything from logging into hospitals to sharing your allergies with restaurant kiosks and ordering apps. I'm super excited to share this feature/product journey with this community and I'm pleased to answer your questions on this new product.
You can ask about the development or design process or clear doubts on functionality or use cases. Happy to hear your comments :)
Just a couple days ago I shared with you that I like bootstrapping my projects. In some way this makes me feel independent and motivated to achieve whatever I set as a professional goal. I wanted to ask you guys your thoughts on this, since I also know that bootstrapping can come with its downsides.
Nomadful ID is a new way to share your health data and log into online services, get personalised experiences, authenticate at hospitals, and so much more. All while keeping your data safe and under your control.
I started coding when I was 12, and over time I ve built tens of apps, websites and programs. Most of them didn t have a clear purpose so I ended up leaving them unattended. However, I do remember one particular project I created during the pandemic: an augmented reality app. I worked on the project for around three years and last summer, while talking to some friends and my mum, I ended up deciding to terminate the project. Have you ever been in this type of situation where you are afraid of stepping down from a project because you re perhaps emotionally attached to it?
Human research is a very important part of the development process behind a mental health app like Nomadful. Even though well-being is fundamental for both professional and private life, some companies still aren't doing anything to back this up or ensure mental health is offered to users as their right, more than just a job perk.
How's the situation with mental health at your workplace?
As an indie app developer who bootstraps projects, sometimes I can't help but think that one day when savings are gone, I must find a way to sustain my digital business, and perhaps I should run it on donations. I'm working at Nomadful, a digital health company with a simple mission: to provide anyone holding a phone with free, high-quality mental health services. As of today, my mobile app has accompanied over a thousand people through their unique journeys with mental health.
Have you ever ran a business on donations? What have you done to support those who run on donations?
For the last month, I've been working a new product from Nomadful that I'm pretty sure will revolutionise the health industry for years to come: an integrated, digital medical ID that will help you authenticate at health centres, restaurants, and even some venues. I'll be launching this product by the end of this month, and I can't wait for you guys to try it and share your thoughts on it. While I can't share it with you just yet, I can actually tell you some of the most outstanding features:
Most of us launching soon come across lots of articles with titles like Best Day To Launch on PH 2025 not to mention the enormous amount of spam emails that offer to scale and optimise your launch. I wouldn t say there s such thing as a great or nearly-perfect day to launch, but rather just launch your product whenever you feel ready to do so. What are your thoughts on this? Have you also received some of this spammy emails?
So I am thinking of doing a company rebrand. We are still a startup and very small, but our industry focus has shifted over the past year to 18 months since launched.
What are some things to take into consideration when doing a company rebrand and any advice how to get started?
