WriteRush uses Stripe for the payment system, it's so simple and easy to use. I love it! Once you get the webhooks set up, it's really quite simple. Thanks Stripe!

WriteRush uses TipTap for its rich text editor and it's awesome! It makes the content editable dev experience so simple and easy. I considered lexical and even codemirror, but went with TipTap as it was perfect for my needs. I also use marked and turndown (npm) to convert to and from markdown

WriteRush is hosted on Vercel, because of how simple and easy it is. Not just that, it's incredibly powerful to use. Vercel builds in such incredible and powerful tools. I'm very grateful for all the hard work that went into making Vercel!

Absolutely amazing. It simplifies indexeddb so much. It made it incredibly easy and powerful to use. I considered idb and localforage, but went with dexie, and was so glad!

Vercel is the ultimate "it just works" platform. They provide a seamless, zero-configuration deployment experience that feels like magic. Pushing my code to github, and seeing the entire WriteRush site and all its serverless API functions deploy perfectly in a minute is beautiful. It lets me focus 100% on building and launching my product. Thanks Vercel!

I have so much to say about Tailwind. It's just incredible. If you're not using it, use it! It's the single greatest tool for UI I've found. It allowed me to build a polished, professional, and fully responsive UI for the WriteRush website without ever having to leave my DOM. It's so intuitive and fast that it feels like you're sculpting a design in real-time. I could never have achieved this level of design quality on my own without it.

Next.js is the backbone of the entire WriteRush backend. It's the rare tool that truly delivers on the promise of a full-stack framework. I was able to build the marketing landing page and the entire secure backend API for payments and user auth all within a single, cohesive codebase. Next.js gave me, a solo developer, the leverage to build what would have once required a whole team.

This might be an unusual shoutout, but it's an important one! While building WriteRush, I relied on many of the habits and skills I'd learned from Bryan and everyone at Heroic. I even used some of the ideas from Heroic in WriteRush (ex: celebrating small wins). I can't recommend Heroic enough!

Maybe one of the most beautiful dev tools ever. It's just so nice to work with. For the frontend of WriteRush, I needed a modern, blazing-fast development environment and build tool. Vite was the obvious and perfect choice. The instant server start and HMR made the development loop incredibly fast. It's a tool that provides all the power of a modern bundler with none of the complex configuration. Thanks Vite team!

I knew I needed a robust Postgres database for WriteRush's user accounts and subscription data. As a solo dev, the idea of managing a traditional database was daunting. Neon's serverless Postgres was great! The setup took literally 5 minutes. It scales automatically, the developer experience is fantastic, and the ability to branch my database like I branch my code is awesome. Neon gave WriteRush a production-grade database with zero overhead, letting me focus on building the app itself.

As a solo founder, building a full subscription and billing system is a very intimidating task. Stripe completely abstracts away that complexity. Using Stripe Checkout and the Customer Portal allowed me to implement secure, professional-grade payments for WriteRush in a few days! The ability to easily add features like promotion codes and automatic global tax calculation meant I could launch with the confidence of a much larger company. WriteRush exists as a business today because Stripe handles the entire financial backend so flawlessly.
