Built an ADHD Productivity App Out of Necessity - Now Looking for Community Feedback

Hey everyone,

After 15 years of struggling with generic productivity tools that just don't work for ADHD brains, I finally built something that actually helps. AiDD is now live on the App Store, and I need your input to make it even better.

[ChangeLog] August 28 — No more “Coming soon” (and a couple other shiny updates) ✨

Hello friends, and welcome back to the changelog. The devs have been running on a balanced diet of espresso shots and questionable amounts of energy drinks, which means you guessed it: fresh updates are here. From saying goodbye to Coming Soon, to giving you a shiny red self-destruct button, to sprucing up Alternatives, and a shiny new footer, we ve packed a lot into this round.

Coming Soon Forum Threads

The old Coming Soon pages have officially retired (and you lot noticed). From now on, every new product you create gets its own forum thread. It is your place to share updates, drop teasers, or just shout into the void while you wait for launch day. People can still follow from your forum page to get notified when you go live, but now you can actually start the conversation early.

How To Grab Attention (inc. some cool YC-founder templates)

I wrote last week about how we re building Ting on two axes: one to get attention, the other to build the product.

On attention, we re doing pretty well in 3-weeks:

  • 1k on the waitlist.

  • 200 people have joined meetings booked by Ting already.

  • 375 invites sent out so far...

Restrictive Reddit's move: is blocking archive posts protecting users or censoring history?

A few days ago stumbled upon a statistic that Reddit is widely used as a source of information for AI answers.

Reddit answered: They wanna block access to the Internet Archive (kind of protection against scraping)

Would you hire a VibeCoder to work on your product?

I've been pretty impressed at the amount of products people (including myself) have been able to create which got me curious... do vibe coders or AI-primary builders have a place in a company or team?
My thinking is the more technically adept would work on the core-focus while vibecoders can assist with other tasks that shouldn't be the main devs focus...like a potential feature add, minor changes, or even exploring different ways of modifying the existing product.
I'm curious what you all think, would you hire a vibe coder?

TIL that you can use the Claude Desktop App to install projects from GitHub. What will you install?

I have been a big fan of @Aqua Voice but do need something local for the times I don't have internet or am traveling. So I wanted to give @OpenWispr a try but didn't really want to go through the whole setup for it... so I gave @Claude for Desktopaccess to my files and computer and... it basically instantly installed the whole thing and got it working!
Then I asked it to package for me as a Mac app (.app) and what do you know... it did! Was honestly kind of amazing. There was one issue that I had to keep troubleshooting and that's sometimes Claude would reference the wrong environment or file... it could figure it out, but just something to pay attention too.

So now you can vibecode and quickly iterate on Open Source software using Claude Desktop, @Cursor, and @Warp. Use Claude to set it up, Cursor to iterate and build, then Warp to polish and debug.

Have there been any Open Source software that has scared you away but you might try install with this method?

Question for hunters: According to what you decide to hunt a product (or collab with a company)?

During the time spent on Product Hunt, there are already quite frequent faces who have profiled themselves as top hunters through their activity.

Their names are prominent among hunters, and they probably have to think twice about what they stand for.

YC deadline in <2 weeks; Who's applying?

If you're applying, reply below with what you're building so we can cheer you on!

If you're doing a startup and not applying, why aren't you applying?

What’s the psychological price ceiling you’d pay for software?

There s an interesting trend unfolding.

Most major AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude etc.) started with friendly $20/month plans. It felt accessible, almost casual.

We Were Drowning in AI Tabs. So We Built Brain MAX

Hey PH Community

We re the team behind ClickUp, and today we re launching something straight from our innovation labs: Brain MAX, a native AI desktop app that ends AI sprawl and puts your entire workflow in one place.

The Problem

We were drowning in AI tabs. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, copying context, re-uploading files, losing track of where things were. Total chaos.
