Spend three weeks on creating a sleek 90-second video onboarding, professional audio, custom animation and all the bells and whistles. Pitted it against onboarding process with no videos but just three short text instructions and a screen shot. The text-only version showed a higher percentage of completion.

Here's my hypothesis, and it's nothing more than that: the video asked for ninety seconds of faith up front from someone who didn't know yet if the product is worth the investment of time, while the text version allowed visitors to scan it quickly within ten seconds.

Month seven. Consistent deliveries, fewer bugs, nice words from users in support tickets. The revenue has shifted somewhere around 4% during the whole time.

Both founder essays say the same thing. You need to persist. You also need to kill it early and move on. Neither will tell you which case you are dealing with.

I ve run into this with longer agent runs and I m curious how others handle it.

The original issue might contain the scope, constraints and evidence required. But when another model or session picks up the work later, those conditions often get reduced to a summary.
