🔥 1000-day streak – special edition: How to last on Product Hunt long-term?

I have been here for so long that visiting the Product Hunt page is like an automatic reflex after waking up. Just kidding.

Anyway, there are 10 hints on how to keep that streak going:

Kipps.AI Voice Agent - AI Voice Agents for Sales, Support & Operations

Kipps.AI turns your sales and support call operations into intelligent voice agents that sound remarkably human. Integrate with your CRM, and scale effortlessly—complete control with any AI model.

nFactorial AI - AI tutor who teaches anything with explainer videos

With nFactorial AI, you just pick a topic to learn and we generate high quality explainer video. Our AI agent can make easy to understand visuals using mathematical animations.

Which topics discussed on Product Hunt spark your attention the most?

Do you notice which topics discussed on this platform make you think, and you like to contribute your 2 cents?

I don't mean that you generate an AI answer for the topic, but that you enjoy discussing the topic like a real person.

What’s the most meaningful dev project you’ve seen (or built)?

I have been exploring tools created by developers that aim to solve real-world problems or support underserved communities. From mental health apps to accessibility tools, it s incredible how much impact a few lines of code can have.

A few great examples I came across:

  • MindEase: A minimal app that helps users manage anxiety through proven techniques. Built without ads or upsells, just genuine support.

  • Be My Eyes: Matches blind or low-vision users with volunteers via live video for real-time assistance.

How do you keep up with social media presence and building your personal brand?

All of you who are building a personal brand, I guess, keeping up with the onslaught of notifications is not the easiest thing to do. I personally open some notifications after a month (like today on Bluesky, Substack and Twitter), not to mention that I reply to some messages after months. It helps me keep my sanity. But it took me almost 4 hours to handle these today.

On the other hand, I manage ProductHunt and LinkedIn quite regularly.

How do you handle pricing strategies and discounts?

When I was studying economics, we always said that we base the price on these basic things:

cost level

competition

prominence of the industry/product

Is it really good to succeed at a young age?

I often met people with the mindset:

"I'll work hard until I'm 30, and then I'll enjoy the fruits of my labour."

Many people wanted to get into the Forbes 30 Under 30.

500 Days on Product Hunt — What’s Kept You Coming Back?

Today marks my 500th day in a row on Product Hunt, and I wanted to share a few reflections from this journey, in case it sparks ideas or conversation with others in the community.

Which AI tools create the most authentic AI videos?

A few weeks ago, @Veo emerged.

A few days ago, I tried @Higgsfield. The output is here.

Yesterday, Chris hunted @Midjourney Midjourney V1 Video Model.

And today I read that @Perplexity has a video generation available on Ask Perplexity!

AI is everywhere...what’s one thing it still can’t do right?

I work with startup teams and use AI tools almost every day for writing, research, support, and more. It saves a lot of time, no doubt. But there are still things AI just can t do well.

For example, when reading customer feedback, AI often misses the real meaning behind the words, like when someone sounds polite but is actually unhappy. Or when making product decisions, AI can list pros and cons, but it doesn t really understand the bigger picture or timing like a human would.

Should you offer free access when launching a paid product on Product Hunt?

I'm seeing more products launch on Product Hunt that require payment to actually use any features. No free trial, no freemium tier, just a download that leads straight to a paywall.

Part of me thinks this makes sense. If your product has real value, why give it away? People on Product Hunt understand they're looking at premium tools. Plus offering free access can attract users who will never pay anyway.

But I also see the argument for temporary free access during launch. Product Hunt users want to actually try what they're upvoting. How can they give meaningful feedback or become advocates if they hit a paywall immediately?

How do you keep your startup team motivated when money runs out?

Keeping a startup team motivated without money is one of the hardest challenges I ve faced, harder than growth or sales.

I ve worked on a few SaaS products with let s just say, not-ideal budgets. And honestly, the hardest part wasn t traction. It was morale.

Do you know any impactful social responsible projects?

Many of us appreciate tools that save us time or money in our businesses. But there are also projects out there with a bigger mission (improving lives, supporting the planet, and helping those in need, to name a few).

Do you know of any inspiring projects that aim to make the world a better place?

YC partners launch Standard Capital — is the “AI-native Series A accelerator” the new Seed?

This news caught my eye today: that two Y Combinator partners, Dalton Caldwell (25 batches, 1 K+ startups coached) and Paul Buchheit (the Gmail guy), leave YC (the accelerator behind Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox) to spin up Standard Capital.

Here s what they re offering

  • Write $5-10 million cheques for about 10 % of a company.

  • Step in after seed money but before the usual Series A.

  • Back teams who can build and improve AI products super fast.

  • YC itself is putting money into the fund.

Lessons from finishing #1 on a day two products passed 1,000 upvotes - for the first time in 2025

First, thank you. Everyone who voted, commented, or tried Chronicle. You helped us with a #1 finish in our first official launch on the same day Bubble also crossed 1000 votes. Massive gratitude

As a first-time founder, this was a special day. I would love to share what we've learnt. And would love to hear how we can do better, both in growing Chronicle and in improving the product itself.

Is AI video editing finally ready for everyday creators?

Let s be honest most AI video tools are still too complicated or just don t live up to the hype. Why is it still so tough for creators and marketers to make quick, simple edits? Most tools are built for pros, and AI videos often feel a bit off. We kept hearing: Why can t I just make a fast explainer or a talking avatar without a studio?

That s what we want to change:

  • Instantly create videos from text prompts

  • Bring blogs, courses, and social posts to life with talking avatars

  • Experiment and storyboard easily not just edit
