Maybe it is only me, but I see certain categories of online products that seem to be like "copy-paste" and the market is overcrowded by them. (and they repeats in the PH charts too often as well)
They are especially these:
AI writing tools
social media apps (I do not think that something breath-taking can be developed there)
Hello, Product Hunt! I vote for "marketing is more important!" Recently, building has become really easy with the help of AI agents and tools like Cursor(thx Ai). I think the time and money needed to create a good product have significantly decreased thanks to various SaaS programs. However, I still don t have any references to introduce to you ( ). I feel like I ve neglected marketing, which is more important than making the product. (Please tell me this is the real reason...) Especially for indie makers like me, marketing is the hardest part (I wish someone could do it for me! ). Making a good product and promoting it are both important, and it s a pointless debate. Still, making vs. marketing? What do you all think? And if there are any cost-free ways for indie marketers or beginner marketers to try out, could you let me know?
Gaze into your crystal ball and share what you think is going to happen with AI in 2025! Will this be the year of the vibecoder? Is there an industry that you think will be transformed by AI? Whether you're predicting revolutionary breakthroughs or subtle shifts, drop your predictions in the comments!
Here at Product Hunt, we found that we were slowly shifting away from @Miro and defaulting to @Notion for typing up brainstorming notes during meetings (we use @Tandem so already have built-in breakout rooms, ambient music options and timers).
So we decided to cancel our Miro account and continue to use Notion or switch to a Figjam board if we really needed a sticky notes format (we're already using Figma so it helps reduce the number of tools we are using). *Spoiler alert: we haven't needed to use a sticky note board yet...
We're building a personalized language-learning app inspired by our own experiences and frustrations with the one-size-fits-all approach of traditional apps. Our goal is to offer customized and adaptive learning paths, powered by user data and tailored to individual interests, goals, and motivations.
I won t go into full pitch mode just yet, but we d love to start a discussion around this question:
What s your biggest pain point or frustration with current language-learning apps?
I cannot help but notice that 3/4 products launched have AI in the description. AI is amazing, but is it really always necessary? For example in my niche, Health & Fitness, most apps try to use as many data points as possible and use AI to give you the optimal workouts . That sounds good on paper, but actually I think most people would benefit more from a simple structure that is easy to follow and understand. Overcomplicating metrics such as recovery scores might do more damage than good, noceboing you into feeling like you are tired and can t hit your workout that day. In truth, most people are not professional athletes and do not need to have the most optimal workout plan (their daily tasks do not allow it anyway. Also pros rely on subjective metrics much more than we usually realise). I think sometimes simpler is better. But I want to hear from you. Do you think we are overusing AI to the detriment of our products sometimes?
Hi PHerz! This is not a problem discovery post lol. Just a normal chat to see what others face in their daily lives, cause building stuff and in general trying to do things in life is a roller coaster. For me, a lot of stuff piss me off hah!
However, one thing that does a lot, is the fact that I see the majority outsourcing their lives to the "system". I see people still admiring folks like Elon Musk, people working jobs they dont like and being ok that they will work for 40 years, without realizing they only live once. Buying the newest cars, the newest iphones, posting fake things on social media. Without even thinking the consequences of all this. Feels like people gave up on thinking for themselves. Anyways, hectic day, so I felt like sharing a more "deep" topic. What about you? What pisses you off in this world?
For me these are the two most exciting things: 1. Will cash out big time from the crypto markets.
2. My goal to generate revenue with a product that I built and helps people. What's yours?
Sometimes I have a feeling I could use my potential more. E.g. Spending too much time on the internet I could go exercise or read books. Not taking advantage of relationships in terms of networking I should socialise more and ask for help (because I do not do that.). Not being a part of some co-working or so I could have more friends and we could create some projects. ---------- Are you aware of something in your life that keeps you behind?
How do you overcome it or compensate?
Mental health is a widely recognized and extensively discussed subject across numerous organizations, and this week happens to be dedicated to raising awareness about it. I'm curious to know if your company has implemented a mental health policy, as well as what measures you personally take to prioritize your own mental well-being.
My favorite place is Rovinj in Croatia. The old town is magical. As for the worst, I don't have one. very experience brings new perspectives and growth.
Hey guys, I've been working on something in travel and I would love to know what you guys looked into while booking. It could be anything so don't hesitate to write.
As I noticed, almost every product these days is AI-based. I like to explore AI-based products, but in such cases, what about traditional products that solve some other real-world problems in conventional ways? What are your views on this
