I moved to San Francisco with nothing but an English degree and enough cash for 1 month of rent, dreaming of a career in tech. Over the next five years, I taught himself to design, animate, and code, working as a freelance consultant under the business name Chainlift. I released the first version of LiftKit with a YouTube video showcasing its unique spacing system. The video soon went viral, racking up nearly 500,000 views within a few weeks. Requests for a more robust version of the framework started pouring in. Today, I remain committed to making beautiful design easier to achieve without sacrificing the creator's agency. With the support of collaborators all over the world, I continue to work on the LiftKit system and consulting.
